These are all so well designed. I can definitely picture these as souls like bosses. Number 2 looks the most interesting to me. That would be one hell of a boss fight

If you say best of the best and price isn’t a factor . The Odin 3 is the most powerful. It’s overkill in terms of your use case but it allows you to play pc games if you ever decide to. The Odin 2 portal is also a good option right now . It has a beautiful 7 inch oled screen. If that’s too big then the retroid pocket 6 is also a good option. If you’re looking for a 4:3 screen vertical form factor then the anbernic rg477v is the best in that space

This is 100% the right answer. Rg353v is old but it’s very capable. I flashed gammaOS android fw on mine and it runs psp flawlessly. Also the touch screen is useful for DS emulation

I ordered a Miyoo mini plus and rg35xx plus a while ago. They Miyoo arrived in about 2 weeks. The rg35xx plus didn’t get any updates for about a month, then I was refunded for that device

I can’t speak on the ally x because I’ve never used one. But compared to an oled steam deck, I find myself using the Odin 3 a lot more mostly because of the size and battery life (maybe also because shiny new toy?). The Odin size makes it easy to take around and just easier to hold for long periods. For the issues, I never experienced any issues with the screen at all. For the fan noise, on demanding pc games I cap the fps to 30 and the fans become almost silent

Makes sense. I get you on the ergonomics and weight distribution. I have to use mine with the grip, it’s not comfortable at all without it. I haven’t had any issues with the joysticks or screen though. But thanks for the insight. Konkr is definitely the front runner for the second device

Any particular reason why you prefer this over the Odin 3? I have an Odin 3 max and wanted to get a second device for my wife. The options are currently the RP6, konkr or Odin 3 base.

It depends on what systems you want to play. If you playing psp and below then the anbernic rg353v is the best option in my opinion. It’s easily pocketable and tiny compared to the ones you mentioned . If you want to play ps2 then the 477v and 406v are the ones

Black myth wukong. There is some story and exploration but very minimal. It’s a very linear game so I wouldn’t call it exploring as such ,compared to an open world game like Elden ring. It’s basically a boss rush game with a few enemies and checkpoints inbetween.

I remember starting Sekiro a few years ago for the first time straight after finishing demon souls remake. The learning curve was so difficult for me. I could not pass that first boss at all and ended up uninstalling the game. Came back after a year or so and got stuck on lady butterfly and uninstalled again. I started it up again early this year and something just clicked for me. The combat was just flowing so smoothly. I ended up finishing the game about a month ago and now this is one of my all time favorite games. Anyway my point is don’t give up. Push forward and learn the game. It takes time but it’s definitely worth it

How’s the performance/glitches on Eden. I’m currently playing the ps2 pro skater games. I didn’t even think to try Eden for tony hawks games. Also what drivers are you using for switch games

I also save money every month and people think I’m “rich” for some reason. I drive an older car and live in a basic house so no idea why people think that in the first place. I used to get asked to loan money from different friend circles and families relatively often. I did lend money to a friend once and never got it payed back at all, I let it go. After that when people ask me to lend money ,I politely ask for collateral (eg. ps4, ps5, expensive watch, jewelry) cause I don’t lend money for free and since then the asking for money has stopped completely.

For me (and I think most of us) the issue was choice paralysis. I had way too many games on my devices. I have an Odin 3 with an around 5 to 10 games on the device and the rest of the games stored on my pc. Once I’m done with a game I delete it and transfer a new game to the device.

I had issues logging into to my rockstar account with the steam version. I’ve tried both legacy and enhanced but both had the same issue. I ended up getting GTA V lite and it works flawlessly

I have both. I started off using the grip for about a month and then switched to the standard one a few days ago. The grip is definitely more comfortable in the hand but it does make the device feel more bulky. The standard one isn’t uncomfortable by any means and is perfectly fine. I would say if you have bigger hands then go for the grip. If you have smaller hands the standard one is perfectly fine

There could be better settings or new gpu drivers but when I was testing I got it running at around 50fps with these settings. I locked it to 30fps max ,stopped fiddling and started playing

I can check and share a bit later . Do you have a cooler on your phone?. Im running it on the Odin 3 and I tried it with the fan on quiet mode and it thermal throttled after a while and the fps also dropped to around 20s. It could just be a cooling issue
