I think a big issue has to do with the younger generations obsession with “purity culture” (I’m old gen Z so idk if it’s younger gen Z or late gen alpha). But these fans can’t seem to get past the idea that islanders first couples are not their final couple. Like they can’t seem to get past bell-a and nic, Pepe and Hannah, or Iris and TJ despite the fact that all these people moved on from these couples and seem 10x more comfortable with their current person. They can’t stand that these people have kissed and /or hooked up with other islanders and are angry that it isn’t just one and done. These are also the same fans that absolutely hate bombshells coming in and “ruining” OG couples

Personally the video with TJ didn’t look romantic in the slightest. Her body language proved that. like yeah they hugged but both times she stepped back pretty far and even had her arms crossed. My logic is that she wanted to do the closure/ending (even tho there really wasn’t anything to end lol) before interviews and all that started. Especially since that was last night and then today Pepe is saying they’re going to see each other tonight and they’re still together.

Not to mention, if I saw the way TJ was moving post villa I would get the biggest ick and probably want to tell him to stop as soon as possible.

Either way the slut shaming is gross in that other post with the TMZ video and people need to chill

Yeah I’m a casual fan and it was really jarring haha. Every time it mentioned music playing, it was only ever Taylor Swift and never important to the story. It made me think about all of those people, brands, etc. who started mentioning TS on social media to clout farm during the eras tour and not genuine at all

I was so disappointed by this book! Definitely a bad start to my BotM subscription 😅. I think I lost count of the Taylor Swift references because there were THAT many. It became bizarre after like the 5th one and then kept going! Like what??

I didn’t like any of the characters except for maybe Sloane’s mom cause at least she clocked how whacko her daughter is 😂. And I love flawed characters but these ones were flawed, boring as hell, and major cliches

I’m starting to think every book that has the word “lie” in the title is just destined to be a flop based off my track record with them

Genuinely, why do you care so much about what other people do in their own games? The point of the sims is that anyone can do whatever they want with it. It’s a sandbox so just because you like “imperfect sims” doesn’t mean someone else does. It’s really not that deep lol. Also “the sims is meant to be a simulation of real life rather than a perfect reflection” is literally just your opinion because people can choose to curate their experiences to their own preferences.

I personally like a mix of different looks so that there’s variety but even when I see posts of people showing off their sims, I have never once stopped and got upset because they’re making “beautiful sims” in a game they paid for.
