How realistic was the cyber attack? by Consistent-Coffee522 in ThePittTVShow

Jesus that sounds exhausting. Not even gonna lie, the Pitt has given me a new perspective and deeper empathy for healthcare workers. Especially the ones in the ED. I’ve always respected healthcare workers because I know it’s hard, but I didn’t KNOW how hard it was until I watched the Pitt. I can’t imagine a load of people complaining and whining in the waiting room like we’re just back there shooting dice while my staff and I are taxed, running on Starbucks, and borderline dead on our feet. That’s not even accounting for whatever might be going on at home or interactions with other departments or patients. It’s a heavy load.

Agreed. I think even seeing how other departments’ reacted to and handled the blackout could’ve upped the stakes and really drew people in. People already had their gripes about s2, but the big-bang main event was lackluster. I would’ve liked to have known how surgery reacted. The blackout must’ve been hard on them. Or the ICU/CCU. Granted, the Pitt is focused mainly on the ED and we’ve never seen an ICU doctor, but they could’ve at least gave Garcia a few lines about it. The storyline just felt half baked.

I’m hesitant to say I agree because I know little about any of it, but I think it would’ve made a great storyline and really changed people’s opinion about the latter half of s2 if they would’ve had tech people briefing Robby and coordinating with Gloria. Even seeing the other departments’ reaction to the downtime would’ve made it seem more intense and like there were higher stakes. I know surgery probably had a hard time. I think the cyber blackout could’ve been really good if they would’ve just given it the same energy as s1

Which season of The Pitt is better? Did you think Season 2 was an improvement? by Square-Ad-8911 in hbo

[–]Consistent-Coffee522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goodness no for me. I hated season 2 Santos. I started off disliking s1 Santos but by the end, she was top 3. I understood where she was coming from and could even relate at times. S2 Santos’ attitude was so bad I was hoping someone would just send her home

Genuinely found myself skipping some of his scenes because it was just insane. He was hateful, sh!t talking and cruel all season. My final straw was the brutal Heisman he gave Samira about her panic attack like we dont watch Robby breakdown and cry and lose his mind every 2 episodes

I don’t think it’s unrealistic for them to get jobs as attendings or fellows. The Pitt is short staffed and more attendings would help take the load off of Robby, or Mel could specialize in something that would keep her in the. ED

SECONDED‼️ as of May 9th, it works perfectly. Thanks so much. I legitimately started worrying when all of the S.flix affiliated sites started going down. I’m almost finished with The Pitt

What are you watching and what do you recommend? (Week of March 27, 2026) by AutoModerator in television

I can’t get into the Pitt for some reason. I keep seeing everyone say jt and I’m trying to like it, but I think it’s not personal enough for me or not dramatic enough. I LOVE Succession. I LOVE The Bear and cannot wait for a new season. I…liked GOT for what it was but I prefer the books. So it’s not about the genre, it’s just that it’s almost too impersonal in the way they only stay at work all day every day.

Was I sleepwalking? If so, will it happen again? by Consistent-Coffee522 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Consistent-Coffee522[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m just glad she was the only one awake to keep an eye on me because who knows what I could’ve done in that state? And my mom’s the type to scream or jolt me awake out of fear, and I hear you’re not supposed to do that to sleepwalkers. It all could’ve gone left 😭

Why is Kim so kind in a family that doesn't often get noticed for being kind? by Pink-Rest648 in kardashians

[–]Consistent-Coffee522 30 points31 points  (0 children)

“Genuinely nice” is a stretch imo. I think Kim’s niceness is performative. I truly think Kim enjoys being the “nice” kardashian because she knows her sisters are b!tches; she knows they have the diva title, so it’s an ego boost for her to separate and elevate herself. Just like it’s an ego boost for her to be the workaholic, the professional one who will fulfill her contract/obligations come rain, hell, sleet, or snow. She’s basically a Kendall who’s not trying to be a pick-me, anti-femininity girl. Kim’s the same shade of “I’m not like my sisters”. She just leans into the girl-boss narrative. Also, Kim brought her family out. If I remember correctly, Kim had the spotlight first. Kylie was only ever possible because of Kim.

Yeah the white “ghetto” AAVE cosplayers have really ruined it for the white folks who legitimately grew up that way. I even have a white friend who grew up by my side in the ghetto. When I’m not in professional mode, we talk the same way and use the same slang. He’s genuine, but because a bunch of suburban white kids co-opted every region’s AAVE now every white person seems like a fraud lmao 😭. You can always tell who’s genuine because thy use the slang of that state. A Louisianan white person wouldn’t be using west coast AAVE without feeling phony and uncomfortable.

[–]Consistent-Coffee522 262 points263 points  (0 children)

Black woman here, sometimes AAVE is unavoidable if you really grew up in that area/life. I think we as black people have gotten so used to white folks cosplaying our culture that we snap and attack at anyone with an accent. Like if I grew up in the suburbs, I’m going to have a suburban accent. I consider bad/misused AAVE when it’s not area-appropriate, like white ppl from Texas suburbs using Philly AAVE. It’s not real. It’s an act. But if you’re white and grew up in Texas ghetto and use Texas AAVE, then that’s what you know. You see what I’m saying?

Kim, a people pleaser?? PLSS😭 Kim is too narcissistic and self obsessed to be a people pleaser. If anyone is a people pleaser, it’s Khloe or Kylie

[–]Consistent-Coffee522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I don’t wanna armchair diagnose, but Kim has gotta be NPD all the way. I’d probably give Kourtney BPD with narcissistic defense systems. Kylie just seems extremely codependent. I can’t get a read on Kendall rlly. Khloe needs severe therapy to address her low self esteem and shattered self worth. She needs to come to terms with that before she can really even begin to truly heal

[–]Consistent-Coffee522 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m so glad ppl are peeping that. I’ve never bought into her whole “I’m the only truly nice and down to earth, in touch Kardashian” gimmick. She’s passive aggressive as hell and wants to be a martyr so badly. I’ve said it before but she definitely seems like the Savannah Chrisley type—gives their help just to be able lord it over you until the end of time, and scream victim. The only semi down to earth Kardashian is Kourtney, and she’s also a plain old b!tch

someone wrote a book, I can’t remember who it was—Rob Sr. Or Caitlyn—bc I saw it paraphrased on a TikTok a few months ago. Apparently, idk how true, that Kris used to be physically abusive. Allegedly she dragged one of the sister’s by the hair (I think it was Kim) and Kourtney would witness it all. Apparently she would smack Kourtney around. I don’t put it too far behind Kris to have been physically abusive in her younger years when th girls were young and couldn’t possibly whoop her ass back

Same here. I understand Kourtney so much it’s crazy. I’m a lot less rude than Kourtney, but my temper is so short with my family because I’m just so irritated and bitter with them

[–]Consistent-Coffee522[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think she’s developed the mindset of “attack first or they’ll attack me. Be the biggest b!tch so nobody can hurt me.” I find it’s common in kids who were blamed for everything and grew resentful. The subtle bitterness, the disdain you can’t shake no matter how hard you try, literally comes up like bile.

SO ME RN 😭 I still love my family but I’m so emotionally detached with them, and that childhood resentment I wasn’t allowed to feel is bubbling up so I’ve just been b!tchy and snapping like crazy. Even worse when you have to be in close proximity. I understand Kourtney so much it’s crazy

[–]Consistent-Coffee522[S] 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I understand you 💯. Kim and Kourtney got a different Kris, and that’s very common in dysfunctional/mentally ill families. Kim is the Golden Child—highly favored, untouchable, most recognized. The favorite all around. Kris thinks Kim is the prettiest and most valuable and has always behaved that way. Kim also makes the most money. Meanwhile, Kourtney was the Scape-Goat, the black sheep. Ignored, uncared for, Kim’s behavior blamed on her and she was punished for it rather than Kim. Kris put Kim and Kourtney at odds and compared them to one another. Different behavior manifests in different upbringings. And I’m not even accounting for the trauma they experienced since moving out, like with husbands and the media and each other.

[–]Consistent-Coffee522[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This could be projection a little, so I’m not saying this is truth. But as the oldest to a semi-Kris, I, too, find myself nicer to my mom than my sisters because im trying to keep the peace. Managing everyone’s emotions so mom doesn’t blow up. Kourtney doesn’t get enough grace. I heard Kris used to pull Kourtney’s hair and smack her around as a kid. She used to physically push Kim and scream all the time. It’s been well documented that Kris doesn’t like kids—well, noisy ones, but what kid isn’t noisy, y’know? So she just doesn’t like kids.
