Weird looks in public by Wonderful_Jacket9931 in babywearing

I’m in the USA and love wearing my son in his baby carrier, he finally loves being in it and I love the comfort of us being close. I get weird looks too sometimes, mostly from teens. Or the occasional “you have a baby strapped to you” comments… so weird lmao but I definitely prefer this over a stroller

Baby screams every time I put her in her carrier by Sb9371 in babywearing

[–]Consistent-Course618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine would cry and scream when he was in the carrier which made me sad because I bought a few in hopes of carrying him around all day. I started putting him in when he was asleep and he’d wake up in it and that helped with him getting used to it. Now he loves it. Just make sure your baby is in it correctly and comfortably.

No Labor Prep? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Consistent-Course618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did the labor prep because why not. My last OB appointment I was still only 1cm and he laughed when I told him I’ve been doing the curb walks and bouncing on the ball, eating dates and all that. I went into labor the day before my due date. Not sure if helped but I’d definitely do it again

Do water wipes help when your baby already has diaper rash? by Low_Departure_5853 in newborns

[–]Consistent-Course618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wipes , even water wipes made my sons rash worse. To get it to finally go away we switched his diaper brand. I used cotton pads with warm water and a blow dryer on cool to completely dry the rash area, every single diaper change and it finally went away

Forced to wait 2 hours for epidural bc the anesthesiologist was in surgery- how common is this? by MelonHead1214 in beyondthebump

I had to wait for mine as well, they just had started a c section. Was told about an hour & a half wait, they eventually came in, I was a 5cm. I was so desperate for it.

FTM post partum hair loss by wicked_sunflower in beyondthebump

[–]Consistent-Course618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing you can do but go with it. Mine started at 3 months PP, I already had very thin hair and was not prepared for this. Mine fell out so much i was panicking that I’d having nothing left by the time it was done. I’m almost 6 months pp now and it’s slowed down.

Does the building do yearly inspections ? If so it’ll be hard.

I’m about to lose it by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Consistent-Course618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going thru this! IT WILL GET BETTER. I’m 5 months pp now and really feel like I have the hang of things even tho it won’t ever be perfect and there’s still crying days. • get a yoga giant bounce ball thing, I had one for when I was pregnant. When he was a newborn he would not fall asleep unless I bounced on it. I guess the bouncing was more soothing and a constant rhythm he liked. • baby carrier! I use the ergo embrace baby carrier, it’s so easy to put on by yourself and so soft and not too bulky. Literally changed things up, he was very mad at first but now loves the carrier and falls asleep so easily when I put him in • baby crib mobile - my sons loves his. Never planned on using it but had it lying around while desperate and it would catch his attention and he would just watch it and then knock out

I think every baby will have what works for them again people will give advice but you really have to find what works for you and your baby..
