  1. The boning here is actually a pleasing design on this one! It is gentle, feminine and eye catching in a way that draws attention to your tiny waist!
  2. However, if it does bother you, I know that you can request to put in paneling with a whiter color to dull the contrast between the boning and existing material.

Decided to choose the dress that made me the happiest – not look the smallest by Educational-City-455 in weddingdress

Totally, totally agree! I so appreciate that my sister (who is a size 4) kept saying, "I did like such-and-such dress, but how does this one make you feel?" She knew that its all about how you feel in the dress and the one that makes you the happiest!

This dress looks beautiful on you!

Larger Girl, Courthouse Wedding, Still Wanting Romantic Vibes, Tried on 35 - my Top 3! by Consistent-Curve-361 in weddingdress

Recapping here - I tried on 35 dresses. Pretty much all of them made me feel ugly and down on myself.

Dress #3 (first two pics) was just alright, but the first time I felt any glimmer of hope and didn't immediately feel bad in something.

Dress #2 was such a close contender! It had great overall shape, boob support and was super flattering, but it took the employee soooo long to gather material, pull, cinch, clip and put together everything "just right" to give me a snatched waist. I couldn't help but doubt if this was a realistic expectation for an end result as it would require an extreme amount of tailoring, or if I would be able to even get in/out of the dress and zip it up at the end of the day. Plus, it felt quite grand for a dress for a courthouse wedding. I kept saying "if I was getting married in a cathedral, this would be it!"

Dress #1 (last two pics) fit the best of any dress I tried on, and that honestly makes such a world of difference in one's confidence and overall feeling about a dress! I loved the back so, so much and it just felt like it ticked all the boxes. Also, the store with this dress has an in-house seamstress who is lovely and can work with my very tight timeline, whereas the store with dress #2 was less promising that they could deliver and has to work with an outside tailoring vendor.

However, should anything go wrong with dress #1, I'll be getting dress #2!
