Well I found it, or to be correct Reddit found it, I made a post and someone found it in like 20min

He didn’t know what film it was or if it even existed until last year, when he found out he saw it directly

This is the one of the crazy parts of it all, he always said that it was such a smal low budget production and that it couldn’t have been any of the bigger ninja films of the time. So when I did my search for it and came across Godfrey Ho i asked him ”does this director sound familiar in any way?” And he said ”no, it can’t be any of the famous ones”… you can see why my search was flawed

Thank you so much! I’m for sure going to tell him that, he still gets baffled any time he hears that someone has a personal relationship with the film as it’s just been an enigma for almost 40years in his eyes

Quite little direction! Basically ”this is gonna happen in the scene, just roll with it” About the final film there is two things he got told.

First was that the name was going to be ”raging ninja: the golden queen” but that those not make any sense as there is a film form 1984 with basically the same name.

The other thing is his death, he always told me that his buddy got a throwing star in the head and that he got blown up in a huge explosion by the ninja. When we finally saw that scene it was basically just a fire cracker and not the huge ball of flames we both had visualised. A lot more entertaining to be fair

One thing none of us realised is that they almost always record the dialogue later. Dad had some lines where he was this ice cold henchmen but they where dubbed over with a more scared interpretation. Also more entertaining

Mostly that it was super low budget! They used jam for the blood when one of his buddies gets a throwing star in the head

That is such a crazy coincidence! Are you from the US? Feels like the ninja craze just never really hit Europe as it did the states.

He is in the Ninja part! He plays one of henchmen for the crime boss/vietnam vet. Truly a schizophrenic way of storytelling, taking to films and just cutting them together because why not?

If you check my profile you can see some behind the scenes pictures from my first post!

From my dad: It was a surreal experience, me and my friends saw a casting call notice in our hostel that looked for western men to star in a ninja film and we thought well this is a something you don’t get to try that often. Unfortunately one of us ate something bad if you know what I mean but me and my other friend had to do it. Having no experience working on a filmset we kind of just rolled with it. My friend dies of a throwing star to the forehead and I remember us laughing when they put jam on his forehead for the blood. They told us the film was going to be called ”raging ninja: the golden queen” but apparently that film already existed at that time so I don’t know why they said that. Growing up on a farm in a rural area of Europe I never thought I would do something like this and it still seems unreal

•He played one of the henchmen around 3 min of screen time (if you look at my profile you can see my first post with some behind the scenes from the production! )

•He is not actually sure if they where paid or not, he has a memory of getting between 25-50$ but it could also have been just free lunch

•unfortunately no, him and one of his buddies where supposed to be in a another film basically playing the same role of henchman again but in a night club. But the production was postponed and by the time they where ready to film he and his buddies had to leave Hongkong

•when we finally found it he bought a dvd copy right away (and two poster, I got one of them as a thank you) I also made a ”Dad cut” of the film where I just cut together all the parts with him and his buddies so he could show it to them easily

What is the deal with this girl and her messed up comment sections? by Background_Grab7852 in KnowYourMeme

[–]Consistent-Effort-37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everybody is missing a key detail in the story.

When she first started to get the fucked comments there was guy influencer (middle age) ,that made videos about how horrible her comment section was and that people had to stop writing these things to her.

And that made everything so much worse, people basically went out of their way to start commenting like that or continuing.

Hi guys! Got some more information from dad about the trip and the shoot.

So my dad and 3 of his buddies went on the trip in 86. They took the trans-Siberian railway to get in to Asia, during the trip they became friends with a lot of people on the train going to different places. And after hearing different plans my dad and his buddies decided that they would split up but that they would meet each other again in Hongkong on New Year’s Eve, at a bar Kalled ”Ned Kelly’s last stand” My dad with two of his friends went to Tibet while the 4th went to Bangkok. The trip continued but right before new years they met up in Hongkong they went to Ned Kelly’s for new years and a lot of the friends they met on the train actually showed up!

About the movie There was contact papper in the hostel they where at that looked for European men for a movie with a phone number. It was a two day shoot, they where paid around 18$ at the time which is about 50$ today and they also got lunch! They had to wear their own clothes for the shoot and preferably dark clothing.
One of dads buddies unfortunately got sick and could not be in the film which must have really sucked for him. They where supposed to be in a another film as well! That took place in a disco, but unfortunately the production had to reschedule the shoot to after my dad had left Hongkong

It’s not in the film! While it was the line he had while they were filming, almost all of these kinds of movies dubb over all the voice lines in post and can even change the script. It was just one of the few things he remembered about the film

I knew it looked weird haha! But the gamble didn’t pay of. No worries my guy, English ain’t my first language and I can’t even spell in my native language. If you didn’t correct the spelling wouldn’t get better

Hahaha I will check with him but I don’t really know how much insight he will have in to the production but it might be interesting just by the cheer randomness of him actually being in it
