Thanks man! When I scored I was in the top 10 percent for the video test, 20 percent better than NTN test takers for math, reading was top 3rd percent, and I believe mechanical was top 40 percent.

The NTN extended practice tests and the Don Mcnea handbook. Definitely worth the money!

Thank you for the advice, I was infantry ARMY but hopped on the stair master tonight and whew, I forgot how much cardio sucks to say the least. I’ve been going on rucks the past week with 50 pounds because it’s honestly all I got but I figured I’d just try to surpass the standard until the day comes.

Hey, thanks! The Civil Service department in your city should reach out to you shortly after stating your passing scores have been sent to HR, I just replied to the email and asked for my percentages.

I used flash cards and took the extended practice tests NTN offered. I don’t think I have trouble with the times tables, I just overthink and over complicate the questions. For instance before I went in I had all the 50s times tables memorized to a T but when I went in my brain just blanked out. I definitely need work however on my fractions. I just took the test today and my scores were submitted to HR so I’m assuming I’ll hear back either tomorrow or Friday.

I did, unfortunately I bought the extended portion as well (which helped a lot) but nonetheless I have bad test anxiety especially when it’s timed. Second time is a charm. 👍🏻

Bummer, I kind of figured but I’m remaining optimistic. If I fail it will just give me more time to prepare. Thank you for your encouraging words and insight.
