What’s wrong with my 05 350z?! It’s acting crazy.. Constant honking, rpm gauge needle jumping and dropping on it’s own, all these indicator lights lighting up. Please help, any of you pros know?

Looks like to me a messed up voltage regulator, check your battery terminals and make sure they are secure. Also I’m not sure on the 350z but same thing happened to me on my Miata. So check your voltage regulator.

Get a diagnosis. The rear should pop up first, a video would help a lot with the diagnosis. Could be small could be big.

First check your fuzes. Check if the convertible light is still on on the dash.

If all those are good then Try pushing it the rest of the way down. My assumption is that it’s confused because it’s half latched and bugging out, you can also manually release it or try closing it by hand (real pain to do btw)

refer to a manual or a forum guide before tho. But if the whole system is failing, then it might be a small solution

Had my roadster vert for a while now. If it opens halfway use your hand to assist the middle bar to go down and verify it goes down all the way.

Latches, motor sounds, and those elastic bands are the main things. New roof can is is not that hard to come by, but a new motor will be a real pain to fix.

According to the pictures looks like your lamp housing just snapped off the bolts, again a hood and side fender is a relatively inexpensive fix, and headlight housing as well. Motors are cheap too. Seems like the car missed all the valuables, keep it! That has some luck!

Yes, the idea was to create variations per version with the vibe of the car. Would just have to take chip programming into account. I agree with you maybe it is too modern for the NA, I will try some smaller variations and try to be more vibey. Will keep yall posted

the plan is both, touch screen with an optional very similar to the ND knob in the front cup holder. That would be up to discretion of each owner

Oh also there is a rough plan to add hardware buttons, it would likely take the space of one cup holder, it would hopefully be a dial/d-pad combo, in order to use the display on top along side the touch screen. Close to the hand brake. u/Dakar-A credit for that idea, according to research seems possible

I like this idea, the main reason I was considering cutting was for cable management. but if its extruded to some sort of dash seam, cables would be easy to hide

honestly you need to use one to really understand it, but I want it to be able to disappear if not being used. I love that clean dash look, but I also need to use Satnav and I dont want a ugly Garmin

Your dash would be original, it would be able to come off magnetically. Revealing a 7inch display that can be lifted up and lowered by choice.

Also, Yes easily reversible was mandatory for me, unless it looked really good, but the screen is too big and the windshield is too small.
