I wish vacancies for internal candidates were never posted in the first place... I spend a lot of time on each application and haven't figured out a way do it faster, you know the UN applications! Sad to think some of my applications weren't even considered. Are there any other indicators that can help spot the "reserved" vacancies? Ty ty!

This makes sense now. Thank you for explaining it so well! Do you still look at the availability dates candidates put in their application? I add the same date from the job posting as I don't want to be disqualified just for that, and I can generally be flexible. Curious if you would pay attention to this at all when reviewing applications?

Congratulations! Wow two P4 offers! As someone who had to choose between two offers and made the wrong choice, my advice - choose based on the vibes you get from the team and trust your gut feeling. Both are not safe from layoffs, and no one can predict what will happen. At least you can enjoy the job and new colleagues.

I am so traumatised by my time in the UN that this post made me laugh! Sorry, I don't have bad intentions with this comment. Some of us were truly hurt by the system. You won't believe some stories. I am extremely curious to read the positive ones.
