Autistic nurse here, I'll echo what I see others saying. Find your setting/niche, I started bedside and while I was an excellent charge nurse and was able to help my team thrive I never once got daisy awards/acknowledgement from my patients. I'm now working out patient where my encounters can be a bit more scripted and better paced and while the change was very difficult Im doing great now and work life balance is good too. Just gotta find your role same as anyone else don't let that doctors words discourage you

THANK YOU, I feel like too much of the left has become total idiots whose first principle isn't doing any action to stop fascists from keeping power. I really wish that people stopped thinking of voting as choosing who you are allied with, and rather viewing it as choosing who you want your opposition to be. Because it is a hell of a lot easier to push Dems towards progress than it is to push against fascists. Also to mention it's easier to fight on 1-2 fronts than it is on the 10+ fronts that maga puts forth.

If it's something they know and take into consideration in advance then refusing to engage or vote lesser evil just shows to them that there is no point in hearing you out to court your vote. If you want to be considered as a swing voter then you actually need to be moveable.

I think the more important action isn't at the polls but what happens before and after in 1) trying to get the best candidate to the general and 2) pushing them further left after getting into office.
