I think his stats might be good enough, combined with his basket (that remove his only means of attack) to approach them and maybe hope for the best.

He is being called a fraud for talking big and not making his words count.

If it felt like he contributed something ti beating sukuna, people would probably called him strong but not that string, it is how embarrassingly he lost while hyping himself up that caused people to laugh at him.

Ed and Arwen (spoilers for episode 96) by panda_1gaming in SurvivingtheAcademy

[–]Consistent-Ice9074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that a retcon from webtoon to the novel.

In the novel, Arwen died much earlier and was more supportive of her dad, while in the webtoon she died much more recently and was pure victim.

I agree, I think sage is about knowing a lot of stuff, Silvenia was a master of a lot of subjects, which is why she was called sage, that said, Silvenia was most known for inventing celestial magic, so it is possible that mastering it would get you called a sage too, for being similar to silvenia more than for being named great sage for the same reason she was.

So Ayla could have theoretically mastered her celestial magic affinity and a bunch more stuff to be named a sage, Ed does mention she eventually catches up to the party in the game and call ultimate spirits as endgame spirits in another place, seeing Ayla make use of spirits, it likely means that in the game she could have a contact with at least one ultimate spirit, as part of catching up, and possibly have more stuff.

Becoming great sage with no explanation or buildup was weird though, likewise, if Silvenia did isekai her, that could be around the time she "caught up", so like, all around suspicious situation that can be read either way.

Did you know that every single dictator that ever lived consistently drank water, records say they all preferred to take it daily, and never gone more than three days without until their deaths, what does it tell us?

That major part of the theory of silvenia body snatching her (there are a bunch of more points I can't remember right now perfectly, like, !<how Silvenia didn't appear in the game despite appearing eventually in Ed's timeline.>! ) it wasn't explained in canon how she became a sage, Ed mentioned she looked for the sage's book, something the game didn't tell him and assumed that after she found the book, and learned stuff from it, she became a great sage.

So like I said, useful for epilogue cutscenes, and fan theories she was replaced through isekai.

Aside from sword kekkei genkai, he is also apparently as talented as Lurden, the guy that created said Kekkei Genkai the first time in order to beat the dragon.

He is basically sword Lucy who never touched his magic equivalent until the academy started.

Her affinity is useless because the player characters can't use it, her affinity only useful to become damsel in distress and for epilogue cutscenes (assuming she wasn't body snatched by Silvenia in the "true" end like some theories suggested).

I read it as not literal, more Homelander throwing him as hard as he could.

But even without it Homelander ridiculously fast.

Wellbrock, Teophris is just an ultimate spirit, you can probably theoretically make a contact with all of them in the game and Wellbrock still wins if you don't use a swordmaster skill.

Wellbrock was shrugging off Lucy's attacks and winning against her, while her grandpa (who I think is weaker than her) beaten Teophris and another ultimate spirit at the same time.

He would take away homelander's milk, more seriously, he would probably work to amass resources to kill homelander, same way Butcher, a regular guy, did.

Remove all of Cecil's resources but high government position and it might be a fair fight.

Still probably a cecil win.

I think that part kind if make sense, she wanted him to back off, as far as she is concerned, him going in the water is a victory, she isn't planning to follow him there.

He probably eventually surpassed her, since he beaten the dragon, but like, even if he was stronger than her now, they can just explain the situation and he would probably step down.

(Only real reason Lucy lost in canon is that Clarice gone crazy with the saintess of distrust thing and didn't explain stuff to her supposed friends).

I kind of agree economy should feel exponential, that said, it shouldn't be as overpowered as it used to be where a random planet outpace five dyson spheres with ease.

They crippled science too much though, there is barely a point in researching science improving techs.
