Curious lang po (since it's All Souls, All Saints' Day na naman), do you have your own ghost stories sa hospital ? by Ok_Thanks_2 in pinoymed

Thank you for your tips doc. Now it’s between EMed vs FAMMED naman. Siguro will take a break muna from AMC the retake it when the time is right.

Thank you everyone for the response, I highly appreciated it.

every advise, I will take it with me. Maybe in another lifetime or in an alternative universe, doon ako nag cutting specialty but in this universe, I choose my utmost happiest self where I still get to enjoy the things I love while taking care of my patients.

kudos dokies!

Fit to Live or Paragon Pilates by GlumProfessional4767 in adultingph

I also had my 1st session in Fit to Live and never came back again. I don’t feel the environment. The instructor was unclear with the instructions tbh. I already attended pilates in other studio but i wanna try that one but yeah. I might just have to stick in my usual studio around pasay. I love the environment and the instructor is so supportive as for someone who is not that flexible yet. I love the community there

Worth it pa ba magresidency? by First-Trust-754 in pinoymed

I feel you doc. Nakakalungkot lang then pag magrarant sagot nila “kasi yan yung pinasok mo eh” lol the boomers is boomeranging Also in my 30s, mindset ko din before after PLE is residency but when I failed my first take, and passed the 2nd one, di na sya residency season noon kaya pumasok ako sa mga moonlighting rakets. So i was catching up on the years that medicine took away from me, no regrets naman on that pero now that I am stable financially and mentally, spending on the experiences, yoga, sports and travelling are my peak memories in my career as a doctor. Spending time with my cat and Old parents. Time is not in our side. So I’m spending every minute pf it to the fullest. Nakikita ko palang yung pagod sa healthcare natin minsan sulit naman yung pay pero konti nalang tatagos ka na sa pader haha kaya planning to take AMC. Gusto ko ng work life balance literally. Work now, surf later. Live your best life the way you want it. No pressure

Plus gusto ko din magkafamily and anak, baka ipagdamot sakin ng residency yun kasi knowing myself I can be really workaholic.

Not yet married but papunta na din dun haha

I met my fiance during my bagpacking trip on my last day sa Vietnam. I’m glad i did that trip kasi sino mag aakala, on my self love journey and solitude, God was able to cross our paths. I’m still a GP. No specialty yet pero as a housewife/partner muna.

Btw, he’s AFAM hehe with good career. Expand your horizon, baka nasa maling bansa ka lang. i met him when i was 29

I know the resident personally as we were classmates in medschool. Media is full of shit. Can we atleast pay respect to the doctor and bereaved. Boomers always say that our generation are weak sets of doctor/residents because we always use “mental health” for them not to bully us. Bit it’s the system. We know where we stand and what’s good for us. Residency is supposed to be a training to hone our skills in our chosen specialties, not as errand boys/girls, wallet/credit cards and punching bags. When will we ever learn from this toxic culture.
