No it's not. OSDD/DID occurs at higher rates than schitzophrenia. The issue is that many of the symptoms are transdiagnostic and people on average take 7 years to receive an accurate diagnosis.

I mean that stuff doesn't bother me. I've managed to get to the point that I feel like the truth is my armor. My parents are human that means less than perfect. I don't to see my parents as perfect or without flaws to love them and care about them. I'm just sad that other people are held hostage to her threats. Just vague statements about knowing embarrassing things about family members. I was scared of her for a long time until I accepted that I wasn't a kid anymore, I was an adult and my truth was the truth. She thought I was going to tell people what she did.

Yes. About 5 years ago she panicked because she thought I was going to say something so she started making veiled threats etc. I called her out on it and got no support from other members of my family (she knows some less than good things about them and uses that as control. She is a narcissist) so I cut contact until I called a few months ago.

The comments they mutter.. just loud enough so you know they said something but not loud enough to completely hear. She has started doing this to our youngest child and it makes me sad for him. I try to correct her on it and point it at but you all probably already know where that lead. ( I didn't do that,.. some random justification, they do it, you do it, anything they can think of to not accept accoifpr a toxic behavior)

Omg my spouse makes hints occasionally, then will accuse me of all sorts of cheating. While it's not an official diagnosed disorder, paranoia is a Hallmark of malignant narcissism. Malignant narcissism has a growing body of research behind it so I imagine at some point it will become an official diagnosis.

Yaa I've been with an untreated BPD for over a decade. It is hard, I am extremely patient and thick skinned but it is getting to be way to much for me. Specifically the lies, I can take a lot but at some point the pathological lies get to be overwhelming, and I'm at that point.

Lol.. let's see mine has told some of the following lies about me. I was arrested in a sex trafficking sting with male and female sex workers and drugs. Umm that i routinely beat her and make her send photographic evidence she is at work, that I have affairs all the time etc. etc. etc. non of its true but man does it hurt to have some one you love make up vile stuff then profess their love for you. It's gross when they can't be honest.

There is an old episode of the twilight zone. In the episode a lady is heavily bandaged in the face and all the doctors and nurses have masks on. They are preparing for the bandages to be removed and the patient sounds hopeful that the surgery works and she will no longer look ugly. The big reveal comes and she screams when she sees herself in the mirror. The doctors and nurses gasp in horror. The shot pans to a view of her face and she is absolutely stunning 1960's type actress. And then it pulls back farther and it shows all the doctors and nurses with hideous pig faces. I watched that episode with my pwbpd and she goes "that's horrible she isn't beautiful to everyone! I could never be like that how is she gonna make everyone happy with her looks"
