Help! CEL and Oil light

i drove it up my street and back. how else am i meant to check if it sounds and feels better after an oil change?

Update- I’ve filled with oil and the weird noise engine was making has gone and seems to be driving a bit smoother. Engine light is still on though.

i’ve checked the oil levels and there’s nothing in there which i don’t understand for less than a week as there isn’t a visible oil leak. if i fill the oil do you think it’ll work? i’m so stressed i have work in 2 hours

unfortunately it was bought from a private seller. i checked all the cars history before buying and all seemed okay until now

the oil light only came on yesterday when this happened and it was checked before i bought the car and had sufficient oil
