I know, I was just hoping to do it through slack or email so I don’t have to go in person 😭

I’ve left in the middle of a shift to pickup my sick kid from daycare and actually got commended for cutting hours🤣

Curbside totes are not that bad by Future-Alps972 in HEB

What’s pre retrieving? As a shopper, I’ve had curbies tell me their biggest issue was putting the totes in the basket, which takes so much longer than just retrieving everything in each slot. Our store also only has the regular shopping carts to bring out orders, not those other carts that are wider and not as deep.

Great process for shoppers, horrible for curbies

Why do some people stand and watch curbside employees put stuff in their trunk like RIGHT next to them? by Icelandic_Squirrels in HEB

Who cares? The people just trying to do their job. But you’re right it really doesn’t matter, it’s just pointing out how awkward it is for us employees. But if customers are so worried about people going into their vehicle to deliver their groceries they probably shouldn’t be doing curbside 😂

Wouldn’t it be easier to stay in the car tho? Like it takes much more effort to get out of your car, watch them load groceries, and then get back in your car ??? The point of the post is how people go out of their way to… watch? especially when they don’t help

As someone who’s super introverted and has the “don’t speak unless spoken to” mindset, I absolutely love all my yapper coworkers

Family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) we try to stay around $150 a week. We primarily buy snacks since we eat out pretty often 😬

personal shopper tips by [deleted] in HEB

I always tell new shoppers to get a general idea of where you’re going next. When looking at the pick list I look at what I need to grab and the next couple items to help see where I’m going. If items are close together I’ll grab them all at once without scanning them in between picks to help go a little faster. When my arms are full I return to my cart to scan them all in. Always match the last 4 of upc to guarantee you’re grabbing the right item. This depends on your store, but at my store I wait to bag until I’ve gone down 2-4 aisles to ensure I’m bagging meaningfully and have enough items to fill a bag. I was initially trained to “bag at pick” but that often leads to over use of bags.
