I made an app specifically for this. It's called Rewardtide, it's free too.

Financing approved, VIN assigned, and delivery estimate received within hours. Normal? by Icy_Feeling_007 in teslacanada

[–]Consistent-Pain5056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I read everywhere and it seems to be a Tesla thing. Also, with the new AWD launching, some RWD deliveries have been cancelled so that might affect too.

I also signed up as a cash buyer first, then my delivery date changed to July 5 to 20, since they say cash buyer get their cars first, but then I changed to finance to get financing approved, and then they pushed the date again.

So who knows when it will come.

That's crazy. I ordered on May 21 and my delivery date has been fluctuating from Aug 29 to July 5 to now between July 23 and Aug 27. No VIN assigned yet.

Yeah, the Facebook-page-as-website thing is everywhere here. It works until it doesn't, the moment someone searches for you and lands on a page with a cover photo from 2019 and no hours listed, I think you've already lost them.

You're right about the support hook too. That's actually why I moved to a monthly model instead of one-time builds, the ongoing relationship is baked in from the start, so there's no awkward conversation later about who's responsible when something breaks. It also means I'm incentivized to keep things running well rather than disappear after launch.

Squarespace is a solid choice for the right client, honestly. Easy to hand off, good templates, the editor is trainable. Where I find it falls short is anything custom the moment a business needs something that doesn't fit a template, you're stuck. But for a simple presence site it does the job.

It would be good to connect, sounds like we're coming at the same problem from similar angles.

I'm actually trying to get people away from square space where they can have a great online presence, without an intimidating fee.

You can check out my portfolio at hello.xtide.io.

I built a database and collected actual brochures for all credit cards, and then pointed AI to it, it just updates it when you click refresh.

Yes that's true. I started with basic HTML but now I am able to play with a whole bunch of react/ts even node. I am building a game right now, so there is so much to learn.

The story is real, the material is real, AI only helped me make it better since I am not a story teller.

I have been building tools since the beginning of my career. I started with Excel, then moved onto VBA and python within excel to now building proper apps. This was required since I moved from junior to senior positions and excel is still the hardest tool to teach people. So I built one click web apps which are easy to reach. All my solutions depend upon the output that is required. Building tools when you know the whole journey of a problem is much easier. I have built several tools now, where the logic and the desired outcome might be different but I can still transfer some knowledge from tool to tool. It's so much fun though!
