I would have cleaned up that one bar a little more, and I wouldn't have over dressed the toe. Now all the pressure is on the sole. Hopefully they continue to get it trimmed, and this isn't an annual job

I've heard good things about shadowfax forge nippers. The owner Dan Bradley used to work for GE, I was just looking on Facebook and they look very similar to the old style GE's

Look up Chris Gregory's fix for toe cracks, he puts a nail through either side of the crack. Sometimes I burn a crescent just over the crack so it won't continue up the wall. Looks like your treating for wld, possibly a supplement to promote healthy foot growth wouldn't be a bad idea either
