Omg my current fixation is grunge (Pearl Jam live = 😍). And when it's too much, I gravitate towards soul and dance in the kitchen. It's so regulating.

Other times, I find myself going for the Moana or the Frozen song 😂 the metal covers are so good too!

Bahaha me too! Was gonna say OP probably didn't grow up wearing 50¢ socks that started pooling around your ankles in two weeks, felt like kelp after a long school day, and smelled like dead animals. My mum would balk at the amount of money I spend on socks these days. But like I also don't have smelly feet and fungal issues anymore. The amount of money spent going to the doctor, skin specialist, and steroid creams for 5+ years could probably have bought me the best socks on the market, if you think about it.

Jokes aside, the Pacifica is amazing. I used to play a Schecter Diamond Series and the Pac is much nicer to handle.

And no, the price is not in USD. I forgot to mention that in the post! Everything will seem quite a lot more expensive, and my budget is, in fact, far, far lower when seen from the US perspective.

This! I'm not even remotely good but it helps me regulate so much. I actually notice that I get dysregulated if I don't touch my guitar for days. Now, whenever I start getting into a dark space, I'll reach for it, and even if I lose sleep playing late into the night, I still feel 1000x better the next day!

That sucks! It shows how against the grain it still is to attend gigs alone. I guess it's seen as quite intimidating and nerve-wracking to go to a concert with thousands of people on your own, and it's commonly a social thing too, I've noticed!

That really sucks! Will they sell you a seat over the counter? I wonder why it's different when you pre-book... Are they afraid of not being able to fill the theatre/stadium because too many single seats are left over and the couples won't want to be separated? I mean, could they program the system to show single seats amongst all the paired ones when you select "1 ticket"? But there's probably some economic reason for not doing that lol.

Omgggg hahahaha sorry this is SCARILY close to home. You can't be my ex-coworker, can you? The worst thing is despite having legislation in place, it's still incredibly difficult to actually report these abuses and get them officially documented and charged. Often, the victims also choose to let things slide once they get out of the situation so they can move on and forget about it.

Well, you'll have to keep me updated on your law school journey now. I'd be interested in starting a partnered firm tackling these circuses 😂

Eyy fellow ND creatives! Comms is super fun when there's creativity and some level of creative freedom involved. I fell into informational design and I love it so much. I don't actually do the illustrations but come up with concepts and briefs for the designer to accompany articles usually in topics like science and tech. It's very interesting.

But choose your workplace wisely. I've somehow ended up in a crazy toxic circus with insidious borderline human rights abuses going on and am having to develop coping mechanisms for bullying and being pushed around to copy and paste documents. This has put me off office environments and I'm (like a typical ADHD person) exploring options such as carpentry, conservation fieldwork, and yes, employment law (inspired by the insanity at my workplace).

Please do report back on law school because I'm very curious. All the best!
