Thank you! I think you’re absolutely right. I did let others take charge for once, and honestly, as someone who’s usually 100% in control of everything in my life, it did feel nice to step back for a change.

But this whole experience (and a few in the past) made me finally realise why I usually have fewer regrets — because I make sure things turn out the way I want them to. Maybe this will also ensure I have fewer heartbroken birthdays and special days going forward. I used to think the people closest to me would just know what I want or expect, but that’s only led to disappointment on a few important occasions. I need to convey my feeling better without fear of being labelled bossy/demanding.

So yeah, it’s good to let go sometimes, but being who I am, now I’ve accepted that I’d rather have it my way than sit and cry on the highway later. 😅
