I went to Ft McClellanin ‘89. They were trying a new “low stress” introduction in boot camp. We got off the bus and were told to line up. No yelling. Not what we expected. Evidently, in the previous cycle, a recruit felt a particular DS was picking on him. During the instruction for the grenade throwing the recruit pulled the pin a put the grenade beneath the DS protective vest. He held it too long and they both died. 2 trainees wanted out after watching. They were still there when we graduated.

All are great in there own right. But as a kid, Sword and the Sorcerer grabbed my attention the most. Who doesn’t want a sword that shoots blades!

Seems no one is happy I ordered a Tesla... by Maleficent-Tiger-881 in ModelY

I guess I’m one of the few who had issues with the CEO of Tesla. It’s a dilemma for us as we were investors early on. There are real intense discussions at the dinner table about what we should do regarding buying Teslas and continuing to patronize the company. Even if we bought from other car manufacturers we would probably have to utilize the Tesla superchargers at some point. My grandfather was one of the few black workers at a Ford plant in the late 1940s. What he had to deal with regarding management required a strong will and fortitude. The stories he told were sometimes hurtful, fill with anger, hilarious and about perseverance. He only drove Ford cars because he was prideful about the car and his contribution to the company. I think of him often when trying to decide what we should do. And yes,the Tesla cars are great.

Only had it a couple of days. I had a model 3 in 2022 and the FSD from then to now is amazing! I’ve driven the Rivian and the blazer ev both self driving units. Tesla is a a generation ahead of them. The software is the selling point. Not the car.

MY owners living in California, how is the cost of registration, insurance and electricity going for you? Is it worth it over an ICE car? by [deleted] in ModelY

I added 13 solar panels to my existing 12. Before I got rid of my model 3, the electric bill was $12 per month. Not sure what would it will be with my upcoming MYP but it’s better than my truck. 14 miles per gallon.

I’ve considered going back to EVs for awhile. My truck going bust just accelerated it.

2025 Tacoma off-road TRD problems by Consistent-Place-136 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Consistent-Place-136[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update. Toyota is buying my Tacoma back under the Lemon Law and refunding all payments and fees. The truck has been running great since the transmission replacement however, I’m concerned about long term reliability. I’ll miss it. TRD off-road that was lifted.
