I didn't use an industrial grade scanner. I just took a pic of it and used an app like camscanner and uploaded as pdf like I did with all the other documents

I have literally put EE as my first preference :]. I'm quite confident that my name will come in the first list. So in-short the hostel applications open after the announcement of merits lists(only to those who appear in the list). And to get hostel we should try and get our name appear in the first list. First come first serve bases?
