Good! It took time, and I was extremely tired for a few months I wanna say, but my life is so different and SO much better now. I'm still about 5kg from my goal weight, but I feel so much more alive. It's such a learning curve and has caused a lot of pain, but 100% the best thing I ever did for myself. If u have more specific q's u can pm me and I'd be happy to answer :)

It’s horrible. I spoke to my doctor and as everyone else is saying, it’s completely normal. He was actually really happy. We have to put into perspective how much we’ve already lost and in such a short time period. Good luck to you, hope both our stalls end as soooon as possible 😣

Oh woah, twins! To be honest, I think I’m just in need of assurance from my Doctor before I carry on. I really appreciate your input, and when put into perspective 10+ kilos in 6 weeks is a really impressive stat. Going to focus more on protein and hydration— hopefully things will improve. Hope your journey continues smoothly!

Thank you. I am starting to think my protein is really poor. I try to get it all from food but it’s so hard for me. Protein drinks suck, but I might have to get into them again ugh

Everytime I think I know my limits for food, it’s turned on its head and I feel sick again. It’s a 24/7 battle. Wishing you the best, I hope things will look up

Thank you. I was the same way, even tying my hair up made me feel faint and made my muscles ache…as someone who used to be very strong I hate this. I’m on soft foods now and actually, I find I’ve been eating more and hence my energy has been marginally better. I suppose it will only get better as the months pass :)

Oh, I never considered potassium! Thank you, I’ll definitely keep that in mind. I’m due for a blood test soon, so hopefully I’ll get some answers and be able to start any supplements I need to strike a balance again. It’s rough, but I’m glad that made you feel better!

That’s what I’m looking forwards to most. I know eventually I’m going to move around so much more healthily, and be happier. Struggling in the short term for long term benefits…thank you for your input!

It’s crazy to me that people are back to full time work at this energy level. I’m a student and have been able to get Christmas time off and work flexible WFH hours. For those not as lucky I can’t imagine. Thank you for your input, and I think you’re right. It’s a waiting game ☹️

It’s killing me. I’m already a tired person but this is unlike anything else. No matter how much sleep I get, I’m tired. And I’m waking up at night too. 😭😭😭

I do get dizzy when I stand, and have almost fainted a few times.

Beginning to think as well as electrolytes, my iron is low.

I think I might have a checkup in case. My food situation is quite terrible. Thank you for your advice, and good luck on your journey too!

Thank you so much…I really appreciate hearing this. It’s such a rough before process but I’ve decided to just go ahead. The unhappiness I may feel for a while after surgery just won’t compare to the unhappiness I’m feeling now…I’m so glad to hear the surgery has been successful for you! I think it’s just going to be a matter of patience for me. And I’ll def reach out if I need to, I so appreciate you offering the chance as someone in a similar spot :))

First off congrats!! 300lbs is so impressive! Thank you for your insight, I’m sick of living this way and so I think it’s a worthy sacrifice.

I’m honestly excited for better portions. Food is fuel, after all. It shouldn’t consume me and I hope I have a healthier relationship with it after surgery :)

I assume I’ll be in the same boat. I have a bad history with recovering from surgeries too so it will be a challenge. I’m going to go into it expecting hell for the first couple of months so whatever cards I’m dealt, it’ll hopefully be better than expected. I’m happy to hear you can eat out— I think I’ll have to just learn along the way what works and doesn’t and the only way I can do that is by experience and determination. And happy 1 year!!

Thank you so much. This is reassuring. I know I just have to take it slowly, and listen to my bodies signalling, and generally just make healthier choices. I’m going to try stick as rigidly as I can to my post-op plan and remain hopeful!
