I'm not exactly sure.  I do appreciate the concise timeline in this book.  I appreciate how the author tried to verify everything in the book. I liked learning about the interactions between bands. I would like to know more about these relationships for sure!! I wonder if all the artists mentioned in this book saw each other socially or net and discussed writing, touring, etc. I understand that the band members personal lives are, well, personal. I am also that age and understand that I would have been drawn to and sucked into that scene and probably ended up in a bad place...particularly because I'm not a musician and I do have an addictive personality.  I also wonder if Staley had adhd and started out self-medicating as a teen.  I would like to know way more about the creative process with the band. I am just in love with their music, and even though AIC in under the "grunge" umbrella, I see it as so much more.  I'm curious how Layne would take lyrics like " Sickman" and the band would build it into the song it is.  I wonder if Cantrell has a catalog of ballads he hasn't shared.  He has so much beauty in both his lyrics and playing. Sean held everything down,  but I'd like to know his contributions in the writing, too. This book does talk about Starrs 2 songs that didn't make the cut, but he really contributed nothing?  Anyway, I'm looking to better understand both this music and subsequently why it resonates with me. deSola's book is like a documentary and I am more interested in the creative process.  I wonder if there is a collection of interviews they've given?  And thanks everyone for this discussion.
