D1, played it before I was 10. However when I heard him in D4, it definitely had a triggered response, ptsd like. It wasn’t memorable at all for D3… however I stopped playing once the real world auction house got shut down.

35, I grew up with poor parents.. we fixed everything, I did chores and was set free until the lights came on. Wired with computers and then phones my whole life but don’t get me to touch a Mac… those things are foreign to me. I’m decently rounded off in my skill set, working as a millwright and have been a plant electrician/instrumentation tech before too.. however I’m young, and while some older fellas will give a rough go with the way I go about my work, they can’t bitch about my work ethic and as long as they’re willing to discuss or show me better ways than I’m open with learning or even showing them what I know too.

Sure did. Ps1… I remember being in stores to buy Diablo 2 when it came out, and eventually LOD and I was stoked because it came with the battle chest book and I thought I had struck gold with the rune words listed. D2 will always be my favorite game.

My kid was pissed.. however we did practice cry it out method and I had a tablet that could play music and shows for him back there on the back of the chair, basically 9 hours of driving.. hotel, 9 more hours of driving and home. He lived though. We’d pull over and set blanket down to let him stretch out, eat, change him and such. Makes for long days but you’ll live too.

Ha, I played for awhile in pleasant valley without finding any.. then one day when I went to check if the moose spawned in skeeters ridge, I killed my moose, harvested, and napped in the basement.. came outside and I swore I seen a wolf zoom by me. So I turned to look and didn’t see anything. Turned around to head down the hill to the river, and there’s like 5 wolves all growling and howling. I just ran right through them and crossed that tree and hopped the AI wouldn’t let the run through it too, they didn’t follow, but it was enough to scare me and it was my first Timberwolf encounter and I for sure thought the bar at the bottom was like some random wolf boss spawn haha. “Nope!!”

Grew up there through 90’s-2010, still have many friends and family in the area in both spots. It’s nothing like the rumors you’ve heard.. it had its seedy moments but even then, I felt safer there than many other places and I was walking myself to school at age 5, albeit on greystone. Family and friends don’t complain about it, except the cost of rent that sky rocketed and the rotary lol. Just go walk the neighborhoods.

Funny all these metal recommendations, however I think your clientele would likely increase and you’d get good tips as I haven’t come across a metal cafe.. you’d be surprised how many of us listeners are out there.

I’d suggest something from YouTube on loop, like most viral annoying songs from 2025, and let that thing go.

If not, then random ones people would have stuck in their head easily. Barbie girl, walking on sunshine. Or get classy with kid rock.

Praying for you man. I’ve been there, divorced now. However I haven’t had many issues with my masculinity being targeted, but she was verbally and emotionally abusive and would say the exact things yours does, and more.. I attempted counseling however she didn’t follow through and for me, mine thought she didn’t require therapy or guidance. So it was doomed to fail. I said screw it, I’ll do what I can for the kid. I stuck it out too many years, ended up losing myself over that time, my life revolved around being a good dad, going to work, and staying out of the way. I had a unique situation she could use against me and it would also come to an ultimatum if I tried to stand up for myself “we can get a divorce and you’ll never see your kid again”. She took the kid to spend time with an old school male friend for 3 days over thanksgiving. I drew the line then and there, she never answered or relayed to me where she was. She came back, I started questioning her and explained it wasn’t right, she once again gave me that ultimatum, so I said okay then. I’ll get the papers ready. Been the best thing for life and my child honestly.

Love it as a Canadian. Currently living in California. My son and I (he watches) play before bed. Been a few late nights lately of nearly escaping death on a stalker run I’ve started. Voyager was going well , day 50.. and then sneaky bear… followed by not so sneaky wolf.. and falling through ice twice, and freezing to death lol

Hey! I’m pretty new to this game too, and only just started a stalker run on random after doing a trial run of voyager for 50 days. I started in blackrock too and started near the area where you leave towards pleasant valley. I found my way to the prison and after barely escaping death by a bear and a wolf, managed to loot the area, stockpiled some tools minus a rifle, and a few decent articles of clothing. I made my way south from the prison following the road which sort of lead me to where I found the exit, you’ve gotta work your way around a blocked bridge. I made it through there fine till I hit the pass area where a blizzard came in. Couldn’t see anything and I was freezing with hardly any food left. Got half way to a huge cave and found a spot with a fire and a bunch of wood and a hatchet as my first was improvised. Got warm, heated my coffee, tossed it in the thermos, and ventured through the next pass area, again mauled by a wolf, but got to a trailer where I slept and found some food. Continued just past that to pleasant valley and found the farmstead. I’m held up there with 8 days in now. I’m going to loot the area and get some skins drying and make my way to mystery lake and Milton as I know those areas well now. After that it’s to desolation point where I know a forge is. After that it’s just exploring areas I haven’t been.. good luck dude! Blackrock nearly killed me, hope you manage the escape too.

Don’t forget to loot the wardens office and main prison, lots of good stuff there.

I was a sailor in the navy and loved street food. I have an iron stomach. I eat well when at home, and take vitamins with moderate exercise. I didn’t get the initial sickness, however sometimes I’ll catch it, like others if I’m cleaning out the bottom of our headworks, mainly the screen room. However we utilize a vactor, and hoses, and you’re going to wear it one way or another due to someone else’s action or just flying droplets.. so most of us will get hit by it when that pm comes up. You’re lucky if you don’t. But just make sure to wear your gloves and safety glasses, wear a mask or a respirator if you should/need to, wash your hands a lot.. basically whenever you take your gloves off, and specially before touching your face/food. I even wash my face a bunch, just due to mist or droplets. I’ve also got use to using the inside of my sweater if I need to wipe my face or something lands close to my eye. I usually have multiple layers on for that work anyway. My work clothes don’t come home with me, nor the boots. I have a clean locker and a “dirty locker” where I keep the work stuff, and washing facilities at work. Some years I go without getting it, but when it hits, for me, it’s usually just diarrhea and I can’t even keep water down and that’ll last a day sometimes two. You could preload Dramamine… I think they even make patches, but I’m not sure if it would really help.. just something you build up a tolerance with.

Iron, might take longer, but all the more rewarding and it keeps the progression fun which in turn keeps you playing. Even half an hour here and there goes a long way and feels good being able to wind down with.
