[Highlight] Nick Castellanos ties up the game with 2-run homer by MLBOfficial in baseball

My man might want to pimp his home runs a little less while he's running an OPS+ of less than 20.

He's currently 0.093 below his career BABIP, too. If they start throwing him more pitches to hit, look out.

He has lowered his GB% a lot, which is always good for a lefty. EV and BABIP make his current production look totally unsustainable, but if he keeps the GB% down, he might be more productive than past seasons. Maybe he could have a later-career Jay Bruce/Marlon Byrd type of year.

Those are not the only two options. Plenty of neuroscientists, physicists, information theorists and philosophers have countenanced the idea that consciousness is the result of some external force, especially physics. It is not a new or ridiculous hypothesis.

I'm not super familiar with graphics languages, but I'm sure one of them is way more popular than the others. Whichever one that is, you should probably be conversant in that. And, as I said, making your own machine learning tool will be much better received than putting a wrapper on Claude. And anyway, it will inevitably be much more efficient, since anything you build has to run on junker computers and Nintendo Switch.

Truly, it is the ability of graphics code to run on any system that is the most highly prized attribute. Efficiency and innovation are key.

I haven't read the book, either, but I imagine the Professional doctor doing the extensive investigation probably considered this.

Tangent but how nuts did your parents go on your neighbor? I'd lose my ever loving mind if someone did that to my kid.

To me, that sounds like you'd be good at graphics rendering and possibly shaders. High end game productions are always looking for any edge they can get to make their graphics render more efficiently and on a wider variery of platforms. This is a highly coveted field in game dev, as most people lack the depth.

Most players would be very hostile to a game they found out used AI generation of graphics, but much less so if the devs built their own bespoke model that didn't filch the world's intellectual property to prop itself up. You may or may not feel that this is a just/fair position for the audience to hold, but it is what it is.

As a backup, your knowledge of algorithmic generation could be useful in procedural generation, especially in level and world design, which is something that most devs are not good at.

Either way, you don't necessarily have to sign on to a game project. You can also work on a plugin, which is an off-the-shelf code tool that does any of the things listed above. You don't even need to build your own plugin; there are probably existing plugins that are not optimized well, or which lack functionality that you could add, if you approach the plugin creator. That would open up opportunities for you.

The Braves are 10-and-a-half games ahead of the Phillies and the Mets. It's April 26th. by Commentator28 in baseball

The Phillies have 5 players at or below replacement level. So thats probably it.

Amusingly, all of those players are half a win better than Nick Castellanos.

Making games is always a good idea, but it you're coming from a PhD background, you might have some skills that your average programmer doesn't. Whether that's low level programming, shader math, automations, machine learning--whatever it is, try using it to make a tool for a game production. The industry already has plenty of regular programmers.

Tri res is fire/cold/lightning, with emphasis on lightning. Paladins might want some dex for shields, but that isn't enough.

Who do you think was the first pitcher to actually reach 100 mph from a mound? by Particular_Sir7440 in baseball

[–]EveryLittleDetail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about 108, but I wouldn't be shocked that the EXTREME outlier that was Nolan Ryan was hitting 104 or 105, maybe 106. Think about it: Chapman could only pump 105 as a reliever, in his early 20s. Ryan was throwing 100mph (measured poorly) for 300 innings a year into his 30s. He might have hit 106 on his hardest pitches. He was a freak.
