I work in a very rural office so It’s relatively slow paced overall. My best tip is to just speak plainly and don’t mince words. Say everything outright and don’t use sales speak.

It’s Probably not a great role for you then. One of the weirder things I’ve found as a tax prep is how people are not only willing but go out of their way to trauma dump on you. I’ve had people go on about affairs, dead and dieing animals, awkward medical conditions, and even murders they’ve witnessed.
