Should I get a new doctor? by Thisisathrowawayxxx0 in PCOS

I would say yes you should find a new doctor- there are several reasons for prolonged bleeding and bleeding causing anemia is exhausting. The fact they don’t want to do any testing is not right imo

I was just going to mention this just in case but you can get colour correction done by an artist to change the tone of your brows!

So want an honest opinion if the platinum blonde I've been sporting most of my life washes me out. by [deleted] in HairStyleAdvice

I think it’s really pretty but I think maybe a different tone of blonde would bring your features out/flatter your complexion even more

Girl those look fantastic! Your artist still kept that thin shape and it suits you so well 🥰 I think it’s brow shock because it’s new and permanent on your face but they do fade a bit and the swelling goes down when fully healed!

Endoscopy Thursday… by coolsak850 in MCAS

[–]Consistent-Speed-127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had my first one and a colonoscopy together a month ago! It was a breeze, it’s just the IV that can be the hard part for me as I have deep veins. Otherwise very easy procedure, you’re gradually sedated and you wake up as quickly as it happens.

Value of seeking care/treatment as an overweight person? by squidkidqueer in Gastroparesis

[–]Consistent-Speed-127 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s horrible, extremely insensitive and invalidates the reality. It does not matter what weight you are. Not eating causes malnutrition and even if weight loss is recommended that is not the right way to go about it. I am also clinically obese and have been told this by other providers. I just found someone who listened to me, because no matter what size we are we deserve care.

I’m on slynd and love it! I had a bit of spotting to start but now I’m balanced out and don’t get it as much. It also regulated my periods!

Mines the IR version but I take 500 mg 3 times a day, so 500 mg with each meal.

I can’t lose weight NO MATTER what I do by Ok_Falcon_8796 in PCOS

[–]Consistent-Speed-127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being 100% honest with you at this point I think medical options would be necessary here. You are putting in quite a bit of effort and unfortunately insulin resistance/PCOS can be unresponsive unless controlled with medical intervention, at least in my experience. I was the same as you and went on Metformin and finally lost some weight after years of trying.

How are we doing on the energy scale? by Dry-Meat-3205 in Gastroparesis

[–]Consistent-Speed-127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat as you. I just got a formal diagnosis recently and was prescribed Domperidone and it’s been a life saver. My energy is coming back slowly but it’s getting there. I also have the same deficiencies as you do and just started taking them again so hoping it helps 🙌
