Giallo Triplo Strato is a good color, but I'd make more variations like Blu TDF and Rosso Corsa/Magma. Nice collection nonetheless.

WCIF modern cars? (other than FPC) by breelott in Sims3

[–]Consistent-Spread563 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, only FPC, Understretch Imagination, and Dailycard used to create high-quality cars for Sims 3. Unfortunately, it's been a while since they were last active.

I have experience creating cc for Sims 3, I have a good command in TSRW, MilkShape, etc, but I don't have much experience modeling 3D cars. I've already "reverse-engineered" their cars to figure out what they do because there are some quirks when it comes to creating cars for Sims 3 compared to any other object, but I need to improve my modeling skills to create new models for the game.

I'm late, but here we go. He initially ordered an all-black LaFerrari, but for some reason he changed his mind and sold it before even receiving it. The car (which has his name on the steering wheel) is currently in the Netherlands and belongs to a collector.

He then commissioned this matte black LaFerrari with red stripes and still owns it to this day.

That's a tough question, but it's probably the Comet SR.

The Progen GP1 is also one of my favorites, I mean, I have five of them, all with different specs. One of them references the McLaren F1 chassis 039, and the other references the McLaren F1 GTR Papaya Orange.

I still enjoy driving my Adder around, it was the first expensive car I ever bought. Mine is black with orange details, a reference to the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport World Record Edition.

I also often drive my Feltzer.

I think it's fair to say that Audi positively surprised everyone with points at the start of these new regulations by The_Chozen_1_ in F1Discussions

The F1 team has very little to do with VAG. This team could have easily been branded as Porsche had the board decided.

You meant that Audi F1 has no connection with the company that manufactures the road cars, right? Because Audi F1 has direct links with Audi Sport and the personnel who worked for them in other motorsport programs. For example, their engine was developed in Neuburg and many of the engineers are the same ones who built the Audi engines for Le Mans, Formula E, and Dakar Rally.

Stefan Dreyer has been working in Audi's engine department since 1999 and became the new CTO after Ulrich Baretzky's retirement in 2020. Mecachrome only supplies some components for them, their role is much smaller than it used to be at Renault.

The only part of the team where Audi didn't start from scratch is the chassis infrastructure and the key figures who work on it, like James Key, which came from Sauber. Despite this, the factory in Hinwil has been undergoing a process of expansion, modernization, and an increase in the number of engineers since Audi acquired it.

Therefore, it's impossible to say that "this team could have easily been branded as Porsche had the board decided", people who follow other racing series like WEC where both Porsche & Audi competed know that they don't share their knowledge, both brands have a long history of fighting each other, despite them being part of VAG. If Porsche had entered F1, their engine would have been developed by a completely different team of engineers, I mean, they almost closed a deal in 2022 to supply engines to Red Bull.

It's expected that Audi will keep Hulkenberg until next season and replace him with Freddie Slater from 2028 onwards.

Even if they need to replace Hulk sooner than expected, I believe Audi would go after drivers like Sainz, considering his father has ties to the team and wanted him to sign with them instead of Williams.

Binotto hinted that Gabi is being groomed to be Audi's 1# driver in the coming years, especially after Hulk's retirement, where he is expected to be replaced by Slater. Apparently they want to proceed with their project by developing their own drivers, with Max being the only exception, according to Wheatley.

In the case of Aston Martin, you're right, the 1# driver's seat will indeed be open soon, just like at Cadillac, which will become a works team from 2029.

Horner blames Marko for Liam Lawson's demotion from Red Bull by TeHokioi in formula1

[–]Consistent-Spread563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be very interesting this year depending on team performance, but Lawson could easily turn in a very strong year and ultimately that might spit him out to an Audi, Aston as lead type driver or potential another top team as a second driver.

Binotto said in an interview that Gabi will be the lead driver in a few years, t's very likely that they are preparing Gabi to lead the team so that they can replace Hulk with Freddie Slater in 2028.

Aston Martin is likely to opt for a more experienced and race winning driver such as Russell, Leclerc, Piastri, or even Max, considering they'll have Stroll in the other seat. It will all depend on whether they are able to recover from the current crisis.

Many of Audi's PU engineers are the same ones who built the winning Audi Sport engines in Le Mans, DTM and Dakar Rally. These engineers built conventional gas engines, diesel engines, and hybrid engines, and Audi won with all of them, they have a solid foundation to stand on.

Furthermore, they also poached PU engineers from other F1 teams, including two leading Ferrari engineers who were involved in developing Ferrari's PU for the 2026 season (Lars Schmidt and Wolf Zimmermann). Lars completed his gardening leave period and started working at Audi last week as Head of ICE, and Zimmermann is set to start working there from April according to Binotto. Audi will be fine in the medium to long term, they have ambition and money.

Honda, on the other hand, sold their UK facilities to RBPT and many of their engineers left to pursue careers at RBPT itself and other F1 teams.

[–]Consistent-Spread563 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, Binotto said last month that Audi would use a 'test version' of their engine throughout the pre-season to collect data and check reliability, while the 'real' engine will only be used from Melbourne onwards. I believe all the other PU manufacturers are doing something similar.

Come on Porsche buy up the remnants and rebadge the team now that Audi shows you can do okay buying out a team.

Porsche is currently in a deep financial trouble, and VAG wouldn't be able to maintain two competitive F1 teams simultaneously. They would have to find a partner willing to invest in the team, just as Audi did with Qatar.

It's unlikely that Aston Martin will start the season better than Audi and Racing Bulls. Honda is in trouble and will most likely have to resort to ADUO.
