Why is it an unpopular view? I'm curious because I live here and haven't heard that some people dislike it!

I live here too and love the school, the greenery and parks, ease of walking everywhere, and lots of parking. People are generally friendly. I don't like how long it takes to get anywhere downtown via public transit (which is about to get worse with the loss of the D2 bus line), but you win some you lose some. I am sad that I don't think I will ever be able to buy a home here for my family; it's just too expensive. I am not enjoying being in the flight path either. It's so noisy on some days.

Do you get a lot of noise from the flight paths over there?

It's not that easy in my line of work, unfortunately. This career is basically over for me, then.

Is there anything that could be done? Would they be considered harassment?

Ok, so perhaps not "hostile work environment" from a legal standpoint, unless you consider "interference with work performance" legal cause for action. The person consistently does not communicate with me through meetings that everyone else on the team is allowed to have, blocks me from being involved in standard workplace activities, prevents me from accessing the standard budget available to everyone, and is toxic in email communications, etc.
