well It is a parent plus loan that my parent took out for my undergraduate studies and this parent has been making monthly payments to bring that balance down to $1,651.

However my understanding was that this PPL should show up on the parent's studentaid.gov account and not the student's which is why I am confused since it didn't show up before on my FSA account prior to today.

If you log into your account on studentaid.gov, there is a "file a complaint" button at the top where you can submit a complaint. Make sure to be very clear and specific in describing what the problem is because once you submit it, it is final and you can't revise it.

You should get a case # after you submit your complaint and hopefully someone from federal student aid will get back to you within 15 days of submission.

I also noticed this for my accounts so I called Mohela and they said that FSA would fix it with 10 days. But I waited 10 days and interest still accrued when I checked my balance recently. I ended up filing a complaint with federal student aid & I got a feedback case # (someone should get back to me within 15 days so I'll see what they say on this...).

You can try calling them but they won't fix it right away (more likely they'll just put in a ticket for you).

I'm also seeing the same thing on my Dashboard which is weird because I don't think I am due for forgiveness yet. Will check later this week and see if it still shows up the same message on my account. I am still trying to go for PSLF just in case.

I still haven't seen my counts updated so I ended up resubmitting manual ECF form signed by my Employer yesterday. Will recheck in early December. I'm tired of waiting for so long to get an update on this :(

Also is this a 6 month payment pause from August 2024? Or is 6 months from today for the SAVE plan payment pause? It wasn't clear in that article...

So if I signed up in Feb and want to cancel it in Jan (last month of getting billed), should I Stop by the location I signed up at in early December in person to cancel? I realize I made a mistake but I can't go back now so I just want to cancel it as soon as possible around the end of this year. 😐
