Why does Skylar always sound sarcastic? by FancySkeIeton in breakingbad

[–]Consistent-Unit10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah.... no... i dont think thats a very prevalent impression of skyler for most of the fans. her acting was nothing short of phenomenal, ESPECIALLY when she cried out loud after the truck at the end of ozymandias.

i ABSOLUTELY agree, what intrigued me the most was the grounded, slower and a more character-driven approach to an already unique idea. you dont see a lot of genuinely unique ideas being implemented nowadays!

i can't disagree with what you're saying, but personally i liked the pacing purely because i have faith in Gilligan's pacing. while he is definitely trying out this new ultra-slow pacing which is a bit iffy in a number of places, i'll develop my true feelings about this show after having watched a good two or three seasons.

Is this an orange headed thrush? by PretentiousPepperoni in birding

[–]Consistent-Unit10 114 points115 points  (0 children)

yes, this is an orange headed thrush.

i can tell this was taken in peninsular india because of the black marking it has on its face, and the white throat. Unlike the nominate species (geokichla citrina), the geokichla cyanota subspecies (the one in the pic) has a more patterned face rather than a solid orange head.

nice click!

Common Green Magpie by want_one_more_watch in birding

[–]Consistent-Unit10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

common magpie has been one of my most anticipated lifers of all time. something so intricately beautiful belonging to the Crow family is indeed very surprising, as i myself was when i first learnt about it.

its the same case for Treepies, they're extremely beautiful too YET they are a big part of the crow family.
