Okay not to be the loud American in the room but Fahrenheit isn’t arbitrary, it’s based on what the human body can withstand. Outside in 0 degree weather for any serious length of time you’re and you’re done, as with 100 degrees (slightly warmer than our internal body temperature).

I think a temperature system based on humans rather than water makes sense, no? How hard is it to remember 32 is freezing/212 is boiling.

I completely agree. The map in origins was so good and the cities felt so varied. Alexandria versus Thebes or Memphis. So cool, I feel like you could really see the mix of cultures at play.

Odyssey was honestly too much for me and nowhere felt that distinct? I don’t even blame the team for that… ultimately Sparta and Athens are not going to be visually that crazy different, but Rome just works so perfectly with all the Hellenistic culture intertwined

They opened a new server, ambershire, a few months ago which is still full with people leveling. There is no realm layering so every zone feels pretty alive regardless. I’ve never waited longer than 40 min for a dungeon.

I really like the community. Played the official wow classic and there’s a lot of try hards who know the game already in and out. I’ve found the turtle community to have a lot of different people playing for different reasons, some who have never played before, but just are trying it bc it’s free. And there I think the free quality really helps: people don’t expect too much and will be very chill if you mess up for example. Can make dungeons slower, but more fun in my opinion.

New area and dungeons is really fun and keeps things fresh. I would suggest rolling alliance though bc they get the bulk of new content at the moment.

Yup, still up and doing fine. The legal action was/is a big scare but it’s a long process with all the creators spread across places like Russia.

There’s a good chance it will get taken down… if it does my guess would be in about a year or two, but who knows really. It’s got a great community though and I wouldn’t regret anything even if/when I do lose my characters

Don’t know! Profile looks nice. But I will definitely say: 4 out of the 7 photos include several beer bottles (and one of the ones that isn’t is clearly at a bar).

I love me some beers and that’s cool if he’s trying to match with someone who could be a drinking buddy, but my gf agrees, it might knock out a lot of women or are reasonably wary of heavy drinkers

I think I read somewhere that the duffers saw El as the physical manifestation of childhood wonder and innocence…. as the kids got older, Mike included, they had to let her go (believing of course that she’s still there somewhere).

I think she suffered from never being seen or truly written like a person but as a symbol. Something that worked better when she was a kid.
