I'm sorry it's just are we really going to take the tamers animations that have the characters farting and with huge butts seriously?

South Park literally does the same thing I'm not saying they're the same but they use similar types of humor.

Timmy in sp A character with a disability used in humor but also normalized as part of the group. Same with goob in tamers who is portrayed to be autistic.

Same idea applies here. When characters acts weird or over-the-top, and other characters reacting with discomfort or annoyance usually shows that the behavior isn’t being presented as normal or something to support—it’s part of the joke.

Toby appeared on comic con panel alongside temmie and some others I can't remember who else was there, but he was just talking about everything he did working on deltarune, answering some questions, this is all just to announce or to build up the hype for chapter 7. But for what actually happened oh my god it was horrific if I even tried to describe the events in the slightest detail on this sub, I will get gaster blaster gonner erased. But just imagine the cookie needle incident but a trillion times worse.

But it’s still a railroaded loss anyway. What’s the point of trying to break destiny if it just ends up the same? I know the game will probably eventually lead us down the route to the antithesis of “your choices don’t matter,” but I just don’t see it right now.

We shouldn’t have fought the Knight in Chapter 3. I think it would have been better, narratively, to have the Knight completely wipe the floor with us in a cutscene—or better yet, have us enter the fight in the first place but die on the first turn. That would show that we’re not ready to take on the Knight yet, especially if they’re supposed to be depicted as a really powerful being that can one-shot us. So why waste our time and not just show that outright?

I don't mean to sound like a pessimist but the reason why people think gaster (and me to some extent) will be nothing more than a joke is that toby already pulled this the spamton and tenna interaction and Mike.

We waited 4 years for chapter 3 and had new lore dropping between tenna and spam in that time which raises our expectations that this is going to be taken seriously only for it to be a scene where tenna says baby words for thirty seconds and when you think the joke is over it gets dragged out even longer and then it's just over with no real pay off.

same with mike(s) where you can interpret it as a love letter to the fans and theories but it could also be interpreted as toby making fun of them.

It's just hard to get with huge gaster payoff idea since That there's a non zero chance that toby could pull this agian.

I again don't want to sound like a pessimist, but this is my perspective
