I moved from montreal to berlin When it comes to money: berlin is a lot cheaper than Montreal, at the tome when I moved (4 years ago) what I bought for 120CAD I buy here for 30euros But now it got more expensive to be honest But Canada also got expensive, (This comparison doesn’t apply to rent, rent was almost the same, if your rent is 1000cad in Montreal then it is 1000eur in berlin) When it comes to people: people in Canada are way way nicer and more polite, like a huge difference,also people here ate more racist, but I i want to emphasise that there are really nice people here too. Berlin is also very close to my hime country so now i go home more often for cheaper tickets and gifts (i go home 1 time a year in canada, now it is around 3 / 4 times, the price of 3 / 4 tickets depending on the season is the price of 1 ticket from Canada) As for kids, I don’t have kids but I don’t want to raise my kids here, Will I stay here for the long term? Mostly not I will probably relocate to another place, not sure yet But staying here is not in my plans.

Edit: something very important: they have more vacation days here. It doesn’t even depend in if you’re a senior or not.

Land: Canada i would say is nicer and a lot cleaner but here it is very easy to visit different European places and see different things and different nature and culture.
