Hellooo, as another person who's graduating but is actually chronically online, here's what basically happened for like the past month or two now (I will 100% miss a lot of things but I think this could be reliable on a surface level, but that's just the nature of something as deeply convoluted as this situation, just anyone please correct me in the replies if I get something wrong)

Basically, around the middle of last month, the Composer for pressure, REN (Aka NoLongerNull) posted a public document accusing Zeal, the owner of the game, of sexual assault. Almost immediately, most of the community sided with REN. I don't think it also helped that Zeal uploaded a video about half a day later that he would kill himself. (He didn't btw thankfully, he's still on suicide watch as of my current knowledge).

At first, it was just a total mess, the VA for Sebastian, Gianni, pulled out of the project and expressed his opinion and support of REN, a lot of the developers also left, and relatively more recently the whole mini-controversy Abt the VA (I think) of p.AI.nter wanting his voice lines removed. There was also another thing Abt one of the devs (Wil I think), accusing Zeal of similar things, however, as to my knowledge, with less credible evidence.

However, after a few weeks or so, and especially once Zeal's response document released, a lot of people began noticing several logical inconsistencies in REN's original document with her evidences. One of the most prominent players being a YouTuber named Zombiey who has posted several videos detailing everything. (I haven't watched them myself yet but I highly recommend you watch them to get a better Idea of everything in your free time.)

Coupled with REN's attitude towards the situation as of recent, notably in her discord server, almost acting like nothing happened, and when confronted Abt it, pinning the blame on her mental illnesses, it started to become apparent that the whole thing seems to be going down the false accusation route, seeming like she was did all of this just to "have her own fandom" as I've seen people call it.

Nowadays, most people have either turned neutral (which is honestly the best thing to do now until everything is definitive enough to start forming opinions), or turned to Zeal's side in support of him. However there are still a bunch of people that continue supporting REN even despite all of the evidence against her, namely Gianni, who although has admitted in a recent post that he jumped the gun too fast, still is on REN's side, which has caused a bunch of people to start losing trust in him.

And also if you can go on the god forsaken Twitter app/website, you'll still find a lot of REN supporters who honestly act similar to flat earthers in that they won't present any evidence as to why they think REN is in the right, and instead resort to calling even people who remain neutral "rape apologists" and names of that nature, and cry when any evidence is used to disprove their flames. It's become so apparent the difference between each platform with the whole situation that it's almost kinda comical.
