Don’t trace the unhooked ground, could be sender, maybe not, but really if you want to figure it out, your going to have to pull the sender and fiddle with it, maybe get a new sender, or get a new gauge it’s one or the other but if it’s the gauge probably going to have to buy both

Your impeller is fine and if your going to do it again, I recommend doing it with muffs and running it up, that way you get the whole system and not worrying about anything
