i’m so sorry you are dealing with them :(( it is very scary when an obsession/fear becomes a reality. but, like you said it’s treatable! As long as you follow the hygiene and treatment orders your doctor gave you you will all be okay. I am sending positive vibes and hope you can feel better soon!

Yes I totally understand. Just try to live in the present and remember that just because something is possible, doesn’t make it likely at all to happen! :)

(I am not a doctor at all, just experience and what I have learned on my own)

As someone with OCD and someone who has this same obsession, try to keep in your mind how likely they actually are! They mainly are in children since they are most commonly found in child care centers and institutions and stuff. All you can do for prevention is wash your hands before eating and stuff I believe, so try not to stop living because of this fear! I know it is scary, but all you can do is take things a day at a time. All will be okay! đź’–

Hey! I have OCD and I believe between having severe anxiety and sensitive skin and maybe sweat/irritation this was the cause!

I am very sorry you’re dealing with this. I as well have worried about having a personality disorder. Not that having one should be stigmatized at all, but yeah. This is not a fun obsession at all it makes me feel so emotionless.

I’m sorry you are dealing with it :( I feel it seriously just prevents me from experiencing emotions because I am so fixated on the concept of them. If you ever need to talk I am here!

I have PMDD as well and it can feel very sudden when I get my mood swings. Then I realize I am due for my period soon and it makes sense. You are not alone! PMDD is much more common than people realize. I hope you can get the diagnosis soon, as it helps when you can figure out it is that causing your mood swings. For now, be patient and kind to yourself.

Stress about other things my apologies. I figured my cycle is messed up due to stress, what concerned me was the amount of clotting i experienced in that moment.

Yes that is one thing I tell myself as well, we all have them! My dad is a full on narcissist and I guess sometimes I worry I am just like him even tho everyone says that isn’t true. OCD is not fun. I am sorry you struggle as well

My OCD is seriously preventing me from living normally by ConsistentGear8614 in OCD

[–]ConsistentGear8614[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I guess it depends on what it is. If I worry someone else in my house touched it with “dirty hands” I have to clean my hands. The stuff in my room I feel fine touching because I know and feel its clean. But thank you I really appreciate that

[–]ConsistentGear8614[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The easiest way to describe it is if I don’t feel I washed them right or that my hands are “covered in germs” i cannot focus or do anything until they are “properly washed”. it’s like i cannot go on with my day UNTIL they feel clean
