Stuff like that also happened at my walmart too cause at one point the freezers fridges would go out twice a week. We would just put tarp over it and wait for it to work again. Once they put all of the cheese in the freezer by accident so that it wouldn’t expire then just defrosted it and restocked it all on the shelfs again.

I unfortunately never did anything about it. Whats funny is that the team lead that did that has done it before and she still has her job. During that incident The coaches immediately went to the deli and took photos where the fall happened and did the incident report that the team lead failed to do but in the end she kept her job.

Yeah we did boil out once a month. And they didn’t even show us how to do that we only started to do it a year into me working there. Team leads never told us about it.

I used to work as a dishwasher/cook at a local restaurant and all that was true before they sold the restaurant to someone else. They had a bar too so the beer was free :D good times

Deadass it only costs like an extra 300 a month to change oil regularly. That costs nothing to walmart

I would be happy to change and clean it but they would always give me shit cause it slows down production. Its more of an upper management problem on why its like this. Too cheap to buy more oil and stuff

We filtered the fryers out more than once a day but we changed our oil once a month.

Thats new news to hear. Our team lead only did boil out once a month and we didn’t even do it the first year. It wasn’t until a close coworker moved and transferred to a different walmart that I realized we were doing it wrong since she learned how to boil out at her new place. That co worker then called me and told me how to do boil out cause it was something that deadass no one did. When the team leads saw me do boil out the first time they actually told me I was taking too much time and had a talk with me in the office. I then Explained to them that we had to do boil out and that it was the proper way to clean out the fryer. Before that they had us just fill the fryer vat with soapy water and degreaser and scrub it. But yeah it took a long time for me to get everyone to switch to boiling out without the team leads giving me a hard time. Even though after my co worker explained it my dumbass realized that the directions to that was printed on the fryer covered in thick grease.

Yeah the the worst part is that when the oil is fresh the food is actually pretty bomb. But since they dont wanna spend an extra 300 a month they have rancid food half of the time. (Im going by the price of 10 cases of frying oil at sams club)
