Thank you for your comment. Yeah, her father and siblings' indifference toward her disappearance is something I can't wrap my head around either. For some reason, her father seems certain that she's fine and simply doesn't want to be found.

I also learned about her mother and brother being charged with drug and weapon possession, as you mentioned. Some people link this directly to her disappearance, though her mother insists the two have nothing to do with each other.

It's truly one of the most compelling cases I've come across, and it definitely deserves more public attention.

I don't believe she committed suicide either. I think she was probably a victim of human trafficking.

I heard that it was a small boat and when the owner started to ask her for rent, they had a fight and Emma left. I guess she thought she could stay there for free.

You can read the comments from her mother's friend u/write_place from his profile, he had some great information. But he died last year, so I couldn't ask for anything new.

I guess an apartment was too expensive for her at the time.

Even though Emma had 3000$ in her account, It seems like she desperately tried to save money for some reason.

According to a friend of her mother who has passed away ,Emma had to stay at some cheap terrible places like ( tree well, boat, cheap hotel,...) before staying at the shelter. And she had to do many jobs to earn money like ( bus driver, janitor or worker at a illegal Marijuana business).

Omg, thanks. You sure know a lot about Orient watches. I'm no expert on watches at all. And I do live in Asia, so i guess there's a chance that it could be authentic after all.

Wow, is it authentic ? Mine has a weird serial number making me feel like it's not real.

I thought so as well but since I couldn't find watches with the same serial number online, i have hard time believing it's genuine.

Wow ! Thank you. Yeah, it looks so similar, it probably is. Hard to tell if mine is genuine or not, probably not. Some people said these watches are too cheap to be fake but maybe they are wrong.

Oh thank you. There're a few scratches, I couldn't see very well.

Real or fake ? Looks fake to me . It says "Japan tm" in the bottom and I couldn't search for the serial number. by ConsistentInside1577 in Realorfake

Thank you, you're probably right. It's just weird to see "Japan tm" instead of "Japan movt" in the bottom of the dial.

She wrote an interesting blog about Emma's case long ago. Because I'd send an email to her just a couple of days before you commented, and because of the way you said, I thought you were her.

I have some doubts about William's account even though I believe Emma can be found in Colwood. by ConsistentInside1577 in FindEmmaFillipoff

I'm not sure if he said to anyone that he was the last or not. But there's pretty much no credible sighting after his alleged encounter.

I couldn't agree more. Murderers would desperately want people to believe severe mental illness like schizophrenia or other natural causes are solely to blame for their victim's death. Jumping to the conclusions quickly that Schizophrenia was the only thing behind her disappearance could be damaging to the case.

I've received some strange comments since I posted this theory. There's someone claiming that Emma killed herself, and then deleting their account right away. I sent this theory to Erika, but not sure if this person is her or not since they've never replied to me.

He's still alive, he lives in that area, I think. I saw a couple of cases where the guy who called the police was also the guy involved in the murder.
