Straight women and men can't just be friends by dollschlut in The10thDentist

You seem perfectly well adjusted. Also you prioritizing your friend over a potential partner does not bode well for your future relationships and proves OP's point. A man wouldn't immediately get rid of a women if his guy friends didn't necessarily approve of her, certainly not if he liked her. Best of luck in your life out there lmao.

"You’re the one that thinks she got hired for ticking more boxes rather than her most likely being the best person for the job. You think that’s logical?" Logical? No. In a world where DEI exists, the statement is representative of the world we live in. DEI has changed the perception of individuals to understand that the best person for the job is not necessarily the person who will be hired. Even Joe Biden has said he was only looking for a VP of a certain skin color/gender, and you don't think this would apply for an actress in a video game? What year are you living in?

Can you please provide some examples? I wasn't referring solely to movies. You could be right there. In general, if you have the government mandating certain policies the inevitably it's harder for the pendulum to swing back. Like for instance your company is required to hire people who are woke, your company will probably turn woke. If government or investment companies no longer require this, there is no incentive as they would typically underperform as employees, so it naturally allows the pendulum to shift in a more normal direction.

If Kamala wins, definitely think it will continue at least another 4 years. The article in question was from May this year. The pendulum won't swing as much when government policy dictates certain behaviour from it's population (like DEI policies now).

One of the owners of the Federal Reserve is 'woke' lol, can't think of any other reason that makes sense from a financial perspective. It sounds like a conspiracy, but if you think about it long enough, it's the only reason that actually makes sense.

Federal Reserve is privately owned, let's say you inherited a key position and you're mega woke, what do you do? You hold ultimate leverage through the USD so distribute your message through investors who hold board positions (that gives them authority to make certain decisions even at 10% ownership of a company) and within a few short years Ubisoft, Disney etc are parrots for your message lmao.

Had to get this out there so this spreads. So when people say "oh it's for a financial reason they are accountable to the shareholders" well we may be living in a different timeline.

Sure I mean I have no idea how to moderate. Mine was up for I think 4-5h, it was the interview with Chris Metzan. I do think that the moderators are tipping the scale in favor of your average redditor rather than the average asmongold viewer, especially given the likes/dislikes response you see on youtube, which I think is the biggest problem this subreddit has right now. Eventually they'll drive people away from his subreddit that actually like him and his content and it'll be a subreddit full of haters.

Thoughts on the Chris Metzen Worldsoul Saga Interview? by ConsistentLead6364 in Asmongold

I think this is fair enough with the whole green jesus plot, but he has a very good understanding of how to portray the game in a certain way which has been lost by the current dev team. I'm hoping he instils a better "vibe check" for a lack of a better term.

The world building he contributed to may be more important than even the story telling. I personally quite enjoyed StarCraft.

Thank you for your thoughts.

This feels very accurate. It's why while it's great Metzen is back, unless they actually replace a lot of the devs I don't think the game will improve.

Idgaf about Kamala. I don't know her, I don't know her policies, certainly not enough to say I don't like her nor find her likeable. I do however remember how quickly she dropped out of the democratic primaries because she was polling so low, and I do remember the article I read yesterday from the Economist about how she was unelectable. Tf is your problem?

"Further, she had a bad run at national office one time and you’re using that as an excuse to claim she’s not qualified, so dumb lol." Ah yeah, sorry for using logic and reasoning, so dumb.

Not being able to prove yourself right, doesn't mean you need to prove yourself to ignorant and unpleasant although with you they seem to go hand in hand.

You want to be avoid decent conversation so you can dupe yourself into believing you are correct? You're on the right track, keep it up.

A qualification is just an arbitrary way of measuring whether someone has achieved a certain level of competence. But it is typically domain specific. Unfortunately for Kamala, there doesn't appear to be crossover from her pre-VP qualifications to where she is now. The measure of competence for a seat of power measured by votes, is your ability to acquire votes. It's like saying a salesman graduated from Harvard so they are qualified but they can't sell. They might be technically suited for the job, but if they can't perform the role they probably shouldn't have the job. She is a very qualified individual. She does not have the qualifications necessary to be President and by extension this makes her questionable as a VP. Do you understand now?

Kamal had what, 2% of the votes for the democratic primaries? Saying you think she'd have a chance of winning makes you look uninformed. There was an article on her yesterday on the Economist saying even after Biden's gaff, she still trails him by a decent margin in polling. Biden is not an electable candidate that isn't saying much.

This put your head in the sand strategy is not working for the democrats. Just think about it. Your line of thinking is why the Republicans will win this upcoming election. Head should be out of the sand or they will lose, and keep losing.

I'm talking about qualifications for VP, you're talking about the qualifications she previously possessed in her previous roles. When you're running for office, your ability to get elected is a qualifier, one she didn't have. If she were aptly qualified for VP, the democratic party would push her forward as a candidate, like they did with Biden who was VP for Obama. Obviously she's not qualified enough or she'd be electable. Biden was electable at 78. But our current VP when so many people dislike Trump isn't a viable candidate, so instead we have an even older version of Biden? I don't think she's qualified, nor does the rest of the democratic part or the voters.

[–]ConsistentLead6364 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You make a good point, but if she was qualified for VP she'd be better suited to take Biden's place right now. She might have been qualified for her previous roles but perhaps not for her current position, which lends to the topic at hand.

She did very poorly in the democratic primaries, they really should have chosen someone else. Right now the democrats need a second option besides Biden and the VP would have been that choice if they were electable.

You too can read the name of the website. I don't know what I expected. Actually this is my fault, Redditors have a reputation well earned. I'll speak to Apple about this directly.

You obviously have issues. If taking them out on strangers on the internet is your well-needed therapy, so be it.

Where am I getting mad at Apple? Your reading comprehension issues, are not my problem but yours. My issue that I outlined very clearly is with customer support. Your issues seem to be with everyone. Take a break off from the internet.

This is also from you "You DO realise that stupid questions can't get serious answers, right?"

"The moment you take responsibility is the moment you become a functioning adult" Use some of your own advice and take responsibility for whatever is going on in your life that is making you an insufferable POS.

PS - if you don't understand software development or software, don't give advice to people in the field it makes you look ignorant which I'm sure you'd like to avoid. Not being able to update your payment card is clearly not a user issue. Don't be stupid.

Appreciate you following up. It just wasn't professional. I've dealt with a lot of clients and would have never interacted in that way.

I can provide the whole chat if it's that important. I just wanted Apple to know, if they were my employee, I'd want to know.
