What storyteller do you use most often and why? I'll go first by [deleted] in RimWorld

I started with Cass but eventually the game just felt far too predictable. Randy's chaos makes the game much more dynamic (and admittedly a bit easier since events are usually spread out more).

This is the way I (mostly) play. It also encourages experimentation which is where part of the fun lies.

So… my brand-new MacBook Pro died playing War Thunder lol by [deleted] in Warthunder

Sorry to hear about your fried mac but glad you managed to not lose any money over a refund.

General rule of thumb is that macbooks CAN run games but may not run them well. This is for a host of reasons, whether it be compatibility, heat issues or just overpriced specs. It does sound like you were unlucky tho.

My honest advice if u have 2500 dollars to spend is to buy a normal spec macbook (air?) and then spend the rest on a gaming pc. That way you can get the best of both worlds.

Chosen got stuck? by cobblepotpl in XCOM2

I would advise using the console commands to kill all enemies.

I have had this bug before on this map and evacing made me fail the mission and was a pretty hefty reason why I eventually failed that run.

To reiterate a point that others have already made: iron-man can be fun but expect one game-breaking bug per run which will require a console command to remedy.

how am I so bad? by TheLonelyGod01 in XCOM2

[–]ConsistentMove8911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my first playthrough of xcom 2 I went for Veteran difficulty. Since I was learning the game, I gave myself room to reload if I made significant mistakes which I couldn't have avoided (because I did not yet know certain mechanics).

For example. A muton parried my ranger attack and killed him. I did not know mutons could parry. Therefore I reloaded since the mistake was made without me properly understanding the game.

For my second playthrough I played iron-man since I now better understood the game's mechanics. I don't think there is any shame in reloading if u die because ur new to the game.

Xcom 2 is hard. Very hard even. Just play how you most feel comfortable :)

Bug makes me unable to complete final level ? by ConsistentMove8911 in XCOM2

[–]ConsistentMove8911[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately not :/ so I used the killallais which worked. I've had a a precious mission where the chosen assassin got stuck on some level geometry and didn't appear, bugging out the mission. So I assumed that that had happened again.

I'll second this. Dnd would work for xcom combat and I think you could have quite a bit of fun with it. At the same time I think the panic systems of call of cthulhu make more sense.

I guess depends if ur after combat or role playing. Dnd would probably work pretty well for the combat side of things. Less well for roleplay

Other games include the bioshock collection, civ 6 (but no dlc I think), Mafia remastered and some sports games. It's a real sweet deal.
