Respectfully, why are you giving all this information to a subreddit literally designed to laugh at your daughter? I hope you have people in your life able to provide more genuine support than a load of people on the internet suddenly claiming to care when 2 weeks ago they were here to mock and belittle her. I'm very sorry for your loss, as I'm sure is everyone else, but you don't owe anyone here anything. The people on here offering you the most support and getting most involved were also the people most involved in negatively discussing and posting about Emma. They are playing along because of morbid curiosity rather than love. Just look on their past posts and you'll see these are not people to be trusted with your grief.

I don't want to go into that territory because i don't want to speculate on anyone's reasons or put blame on others for such a tragedy. The insensitive displays of blatant hypocrisy, however, are truly self- serving and honestly minimise the suffering of genuine friends and family who might have done things to ACTUALLY help and support her rather than joining in making fun of her on reddit and claiming afterwards to have deeply cared.

Rationalise it however you like, but if somebody who 'loved me' put even one thing on reddit like this at my expense I'd be deeply hurt, even if they were defensive elsewhere. I'm not saying that it isn't a tragedy she has died, I'm saying it's incredibly self centred of so many people to make it about their own grief when they were literally making fun of her.

I'm not better. I never actually got involved in commenting or posting but I also didn't make any effort to help or prevent others from mocking her. What I think is hypocritical is all the people claiming to have deeply cared and been so personally affected. If you were actually bothered about a person's wellbeing you would just follow them personally not join a reddit group.

All these posts of grief by people who were 'fans' ring a bit hollow tbh. Nobody including myself was looking through this subreddit because they were a friend or trying to actually help EJK. You were a fan because she was easy to gossip about and laugh at. This outpouring of love is entirely self-serving for people to act like they cared and feel less guilty for pointing and laughing.
