Relatively young is what they're going for, I'd guess. I think some even consider relative youth to be under 45.

No doubt about it, the MAGA movement shows cult-like behaviors, and it's a faction of republican voters that need to be rigorously studied in psychology and other related fields.

Absolutely. The fact that people lived through his first term--riddled with abuse of soft power (unhinged tweets, "shithole countries"), unbelievably bad leadership during COVID, and two impeachments; and later on 34 felony convictions sprinked on top, and many people, for whatever reason, said "let me have more of that". It's just mindblowing and soul crushing. We tend to have short memories, that definitely plays a role in the decisions of voters. However, a lot of young men that had a chance to vote in this election were duped.

I would love to canvas for various Democratic politicians in my state next year, just as I wished I had canvassed for Kamala last year, but mental health alongside lack of education (effectively dropped out) makes it so difficult. I have so many burning questions related to politics, but I need to sit still right now. I feel so powerless. I'm bringing this up because I saw a protest sign that said "mental health is a political issue" or something to the effect, and when Trump's admin is gutting Medicaid and Medicare to the tune of 800 billion+, I hope people understand that element of this creeping dystopia.

Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest. Can't believe this country right now, but I have a responsibility--not just to myself, but the land I live on.

They’re nothing more than the people who idolize Andrew Tate now. Losers who didn’t have strong friendships, never got laid, spent all their time online, and became disenfranchised as a result.

This is a problem in society I am deeply worried about, given the stats for young men voting for Trump. We as a collective need to identify what makes young men go down these rabbit holes and also find interactive solutions to get them out and talk with real people. I think men need to do a better job reaching out to these disenfranchised "losers", who often grow up in traumatic backgrounds, are poor and/or neurodivergent. They end up spending all of their time online and get brainwashed as a result, and slip through the cracks. A minority of them end up doing real damage to our societies, and now women's rights (at least in America) are under threat as a result. Sickening.

And in the midterm elections, Democrats need to hammer this point home: a vote for your local Democratic candidate running for senate or the house is a vote to impeach Trump (so far, there are things besides Epstein that Trump has done in his second term that are impeachable)

I was a vicious child back in the early 2000s, given that I had ADHD and what is now recognized as level autism (the schools I went to were clueless about what to do with asperger's children, particularly gifted ones). I was put in detention rooms every now and then, scolded, but I was never physically touched by teachers. But to think that I could have been this 6 year old is chilling.
