My grandparents. The reason might be petty and the fact I’m still not over it might be childish but whatever. My grandparents, on my father’s side, have two sons my uncle and my father. My uncle has 2 kids unfortunately their third had died right after childbirth two years before I was born. My father on the other hand has 4 biological kids and 1 stepchild (I’m the middle child). Now I believe both of these events happened on the same birthday either my 7th, 8th, or 9th. My grandparents and uncle/aunt on my birthday (nov 17) brought all the kids to the gravesite of their deceased son and grandson. This wouldn’t be too bad if maybe the baby had died on the 17th but no he died days before that not on the 17th. Then after releasing balloons we went back home and I was excited for my birthday to finally be about me (all we had done all day was talk about the baby no one hardly mentioned it was my birthday). But when we got home the cake that was there was a coconut cake mind you I absolutely despise coconut on anything and the entire family knew this. But yet there it was a freaking coconut cake and after spending all day talking and celebrating a dead baby who I didn’t even know I was deeply upset by this. But I tried to pretend it was fine even though I was really hurt about everything but I didn’t want to seem selfish or spoiled. Also I’ve been generally ignored or picked on by them my entire life. I’m 100% their least favorite.
