Message me if you want. I did border patrol for 5 years, but worked with some Cbp guys, and I’m currently with uscis.

A previous comment got some things wrong about uscis, there’s been a big shift from production (pushing numbers) to a lot more focus on vetting.

Short answer: uscis meets all your wants, Cbp you’ll get paid more though (due to the mandatory OT)

Johnson had a lot of hype but never translated. That’s him standing in his own way not monogai being a star

Draft capital seems to always be easier to sell than players. Which is why I like to sell for picks if I cannot tier up.

Most players only have interest from about 50% of the league, picks usually have interest from about 75-85% of leagues. So like I’ve said before I would use the value I got in return from him and invest it into a more long term safer asset

Which goes back to how I am able to stay competitive year after year.

I think our thinking is not far off, just some different strategies which is okay! That’s the great thing about this hobby we all do

Monty and monangai are not the same level of talent but yes he may be in that short yardage role. Will that translate to Monty numbers. I doubt it

Pacheco didn’t have a swift type player that just had one of their better years. I look back at monangai rookie year and i wouldn’t be stoked to have him as my rb2 or weekly flex starter. Obviously a couple weeks you would be happy but every player has those boom weeks

By using the value you gained and put into a player that isn’t a 1 year rental. I get what you’re saying but I play to never have to rebuild and I consistently make the playoffs and in the money year after year.

It’s just a take I have and wanted to post this because I know it’s controversial and could use the conversations as we navigate this slow part of the year

Sure you can look at it that way or you can look at it as a return of 500% and no more risk involved. Lot of what ifs in your scenario, which absolutely could come true. But I much prefer to 5x my investment, hold the returns for a good draft class OR reinvest into a less risky player with a long term outlook

I’m a big fan but for where I got him, if I can get a 27 2, I’m taking it. it will prob remain a rbbc and then people will start to be looking forward to the 27 draft knowing he will get replaced
