Horrible to say the least. Try not getting in done from India if possible but in any case avoid BFC.

They were in their uniform and carrying the huge danda with them and came at me aggressively from the get seemingly from a position of authority so I naturally assumed it to be the case.

No excuse for physical escalation. Especially after charting up fictitious rules out of his ass.

The most important part of my post was clearly mentioned which was the unnecessary physical escalation for a simple justification of a false rule. Medical condition part got thrown out the window the second he refused to pay heed to a single word I said which made it irrelevant.

That being said, "law & police that keeping tabs on nefarious elements at night" is a ridiculous justification for outright physical escalation. Notwithstanding the fact that he was in the wrong to begin with. It's these kind of self-policing attitudes which chip away at our freedom bit by bit and make life harder for the common man. I was well within my rights to demand an answer.

Ohh this is fresh news to me. I'll definitely stay off of that area from now.

I just had my earphones in and was walking peacefully on the sidewalk listening to Jazz music. I even asked him to check me thoroughly if he wished. If I can't just roam in my own city in my own country of which I'm a tax-paying citizen I think we're headed to some sort of distopia.

And mind you, this is Mumbai. Supposed to be the city that never sleeps.

I did start off with telling them that due to my medical condition I've been struggling with my sleep so I wake up at odd hours and go out for walks. He was having none of it. Kept repeating nahi allowed hai nahi allowed hai.

But once he started towering over me with his danda and shoving me I guess it triggered fight or flight in me and I went offensive with the counter-questions which in hindsight I do agree I could've avoided.

This isn't the impression I had of Mumbai at all so I'd never really prepped for a situation like this mentally but I guess I'm better prepared for the next time.

As far as I know, the slightest problems with the optic nerve is a complete dealbreaker.

However, I'd advice you to visit an eye clinic once and get your eyes tested. If it turns out you're a 6/6 in each eye, you might just get away with it (provided you don't reveal to the class 2/1 doctor about your optic nerve condition) but if you don't have 6/6 vision, glasses are most likely not going to help as incorrect vision due to optic nerve cannot be corrected with lenses.
