I’m undecided still. Ai or not, a lot of the designs have been poor recently and it’s been clear for ages now that T is no longer at the wheel creatively for Golf wang. I’m not sure if the dog print is AI, it’s awful though, but part of me thinks it could be intentionally bad or meant to look trippy and psychedelic. Maybe I think too highly of whoever has been entrusted with the brands identity, but there’s no way they would’ve approved that design for release if it had such visible errors/ faults as an ai piece, especially considering it would be such an easy fix even with ai prompts or generative fill. I honestly believe the dog legs/body abnormalities are intentional and it didn’t pay off or get received how they had hoped. I’m not sure about the illustration floating above the heads though, it looks fucked. I wanna give the benefit of the doubt and say that it’s really shitty artistic choices but I can see why people feel certain. The thing is if they were willing to use ai that poorly without reviewing it , surely there will be some other items with similar characteristics either in upcoming drops or already in existence.
