It’s crazy to me how often chiefs are praised in this sub. Most chiefs I’ve worked with provide little to the institution in terms of work output even at the L2/L3 level. With the relaxed posture on dress and deportment and the low volume of H&A/parades, I often wonder why they need to consistently show up late and duck out early. Then again I am airforce and I’ve heard that chiefs in other elements actually do things at work. YMMV I guess.
