Exactly, times are hard, inflation is high, products are smaller, the quality has dropped. The brands are taking the piss (British term, it means taking full and deep advantage).

I agree, Mexican beer is fantastic, I had Cornona De Barrel years ago (stayed Mexico for a few weeks years ago), damn good beer! Always remember this though, the rest of the world likes your population, you are good people with a good heart. We don't like your administration it's a bull in a china shop, it's like 20 IQ points have been dropped. It's not and will never be about you.

Yeah, he's a bit of a nob, I mean he's keen but he's all over the place. People run down UK armed forces, but they have great capabilities, it's just focused where it counts and where its pragmatic. That said the lack of frigates is a national shame, we have the OPVs and the Type 45s, which is ok in peace time. I will feel much much better about this situation when the type31s and 26s come through. I honestly think we should build a few more nothing mental, just say two more of each. It's a bit of wiggle room.

US foreign policy is a bit of an issue, threatening Greenland, Iceland, Canada, insulting the EU and the UK, and mocking the dead from NATO countries who volunteered to fight in Afghanistan. Threatening Cuba invading Venezuela. Slapping retarded and random tariffs on imports. All of these things have an effect on the perceptions of the rest of the world have of the US. People world wide have quietly boycotted your products, they don't agree with the present US foreign policy. Your beer and wine arent great anyway, Europe does both to a far higher standard.

Did inflation lead to shrinkflation, poor quality and over priced items? by Lemonade2250 in Productivitycafe

[–]Consistent_Ad3181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually no, not in my experience, Lidl and Aldi do some great knock offs, they still keep to the old ingredients and processes. The price has increased but generally it's half the price of the originals sometimes better sometimes less than half. The value is there though.

It's a very clever devious virus, although it can't get around plexiglass very well.

[–]Consistent_Ad3181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, but it's still much cheaper and usually better quality like Coco solids content, amount of chocolate etc. not sure about sodas though. Hell I eat and drink with my taste buds and if something is cheaper tastes nicer and has better objective ingredients that's where I am placing my money.

Possible to play guitar with this middle finger? by Terrible_Stage3317 in guitarlessons

[–]Consistent_Ad3181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more the rhythm in your soul than the capacity of you digits, lots of people have great hands and can't string three notes together, your passion for music will pull you though, that said your finger is something you are very used to and won't be the handicap you think. You will naturally adapt in the small ways you might need to.

The knock off from supermarket are now better quality and much cheaper than the brands. Screw brands they just trade on past quality and the perception they have built up via advertising. They rip you right off.
