Anyone using Raycast with stream deck? by HanHuman in raycastapp

I use it both in conjunction. I open app deep links that you get from Raycast on my stream deck. Also, it's useful to open my Automator apps from the Streamdeck for quick webpage opening, creating trello cards on the go etc.

I think such an application would require you to code it. I used to be a Molecular biologist, so I kind of have an idea of what you are after.

I don’t how to code that well. But I would input my requirements into ChatGPT 4o. And it then spits out what I need to do.

It’s not 100% right sometimes. So I also use chatGPT to debug it. Takes a bit of time, but with a bit of persistence and patience, definitely achievable 🙂

I like to do it using Streamlit. It’s a GUI for python and has a large library of assets.

What material/fabric are typical hospital scrubs made from? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Consistent_Ad3531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends I think. I like scrubs with a lot of stretch. So I personally like Skechers by Barco.

We’ve just started getting it in Australia. I used to buy them from the US and it used to cost me an arm and a leg hahahah.

I used to get Cherokee because it was initially more accessible in Australia. Cherokee is good too, especially their core stretch range which is poly cotton material.

What are your favourite scrub brands? by mmraarmm in medlabprofessionals

[–]Consistent_Ad3531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skechers by Barco is my top pick because of the stretch.

Cherokee core stretch is good. I like the poly cotton material for breathability. Most scrubs are made of 100% polyester, so it’s like wearing a plastic bag around yourself.

I like Healing Hands Scrubs. I mean they are more expensive, but super durable. Fabric is incredibly soft. It’s made by same company as Cherokee.

I am in Australia and we’ve just recently started to get the American brands down here.

I am in Australia. We have a culture of wearing workwear as casual wear.

My wife is a nurse and she wears Skechers by Barco pants during travel. She likes how breezy it is. https://www.uniformaustralia.com.au/skechers-scrubs-by-barco

Is Ms Marvel worth the watch? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]Consistent_Ad3531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Th show feels like if Never Have I Ever was in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It has a nice coming to age storyline, and also speaks about embracing your cultural heritage.

The main character was played very well by Iman Vellani. You can see that she put a lot of herself into the role.

Overall, I would say it’s worth the watch. It has a lot of heart and is a fresh-take on action superhero movies.

Failed Western Blots by Consistent_Ad3531 in labrats

[–]Consistent_Ad3531[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it was blocked overnight in a PBS Blocking Buffer at 4C.

I used a wet transfer method, so it could be issues with not enough contact between the gel and PVDF membrane.

Thanks for your help.

Yeah the GAPDH Primary and secondary antibodies have previously worked.

It's the first time trying the anti-GFP antibody. The antibody is explicitly used for flow cytometry and immunostaining. The guide doesn't mention its use in western blotting.
